Today we visited the Chiltern Museum, a place our residents had last seen decades ago—and what a memorable return it was. Their deep connection to the museum meant we didn’t even need a map; they recognized familiar spots, shared vivid memories, and led the way with confidence and joy.
It felt less like a typical museum visit and more like stepping back in time, guided by those who had lived it.
Even the museum staff found themselves asking our residents questions about the history—proof of just how valuable lived experience truly is.
Moments like this remind us how powerful memory can be, and how special it is to revisit places that hold pieces of our past.
