For those who are unfamiliar with reiki an explanation may help to increase your understanding, however the experience of received reiki is very personal on, no two people can have the same experience and in many it is an experience that is not easily put into words

At KIA Healings we are very fortunate to be able to offer a traditional Japanese form of reiki that is not wildly available in the west. Around 99% of the reiki that is practiced here is a western variation of reiki that in our opinion is not as effective. That art of reiki healing actually originated in Japan and was discovered in 1922 by Mikao Usui through his studies of Zen Buddhism, it was spread to the west by a Japanese American and over time has moved away from the original teaching and methods. Reiki is a form of hands-on Reiki is a form of hands-on healing, it is pronounced ‘ray key’ and means universal energy. The reiki practitioner channels this energy into the recipient thereby promoting harmony health and wellbeing. The energy removes blockages of negative energy or toxins that lead to disease (dis-ease) chronic health complaints lack of harmony and stress. It can even help to eliminate bad habits such as drinking, smoking etc. The treatment actually triggers the recipient, own internal healing system so much, that in truth, they are healing themselves.
