Live-in Carer (OR Sleep-in / Day Care) Required for Immediate start - Nr Crediton, Devon.

Hello!

I currently provide care for an elderly married husband and wife and we need some extra support, with immediate effect.

You will ideally have End Of Life / Palliative Care experience as well as a good level of understanding of Alzhiemers Care.

Their house is situated outside of Crediton so being a driver is essential. There is a household car that can be used too.

You will need to be comfortable with cigarette smoke inside the house.

Manual Handling / Medication Administration / First Aid - essential training certification required please.

You will be joining a well established care team of private self-employed carers - so in house training and the opportunity of shadowing will be provided to ensure you fully grasp the care routine and feel confident and settled.

We are all a lovely bunch with person-centred care being our main ethos - the clients are wonderful to work for and we all care very much - you will be joining a happy and motivated team.

The house environment is calm, quiet and very relaxed but please note the work is nursing care, busy and sometimes demanding in terms of personal care and dementia support in an old quirky Devon long house!

There is one wake up a night, generally at 01:30/02:00, care routine starts at 07:00 and generally finishes at 21:30. With a two hour break within those times, down time in the afternoon and support from another carer from 09:00-14:00 Mon to Sun.

Set in 14acres of stunning countryside - there is access to the paddocks and orchard in your free time.

Evening,

I am currently working with a beautiful elderly couple who have a quirky home in the country but we need another person to help us.

Duties include the usual aspects of daily care and household bits and pieces. Knowledge and experience of alzheimers is a must please 💞

Location : Neopardy, nr Crediton.

Possible hours: 17:00-21:00 weekdays. Weekend sleep ins and full days.

Driver essential as they are in the country! Also essential are up to date care qualifications, DBS and references.

Rates of pay are to be discussed however it will be in the region of £18 - £22 per hour plus sleep in rate of £100 per night.

I am Jessica and my aim is to provide individualised person centred care to people in their own homes in the South Devon area.

My approach to your care is based solely on your needs and requirements and I do this with a gentle and holistic approach. I understand accepting help can often be challenging thus I am patient, mindful and respectful.

I can provide services such as Case Management where I help to organise and create your Care Package ensuring you are getting the care and support you are entitled to (this could include sourcing self-employed carers, organising NHS treatment, filling out government entitlement forms) aswell as support from myself such as Shopping, Cooking, Companionship, Personal Care and if needed over night stays to offer respite for friends, family and partners. (This list is by no means exhaustive)
