Did you know?
I love that Anna Bowland, a researcher in the team at the University of Exeter, say
β€œWe’re moving away from this anthropocentric view that alcohol is used by just humans and that actually ethanol is quite abundant in the natural world,”
It's way time and a half we did move away from antropocentrism, it gives us such a restricted and innacurate view of how Mother Earth really works.

Range of species have ethanol in diet, normally arising through fermented fruits, sap and nectar

Cattle get a lot of bad press nowadays, usually from people who don't understand the good things that Mother Nature invented them for.

Here's a great story of how cows (Belted Galloways, one of old native breeds) are helping desperately endangered butterflies to revive and hopefully thrive.

Additionally, the project is helping people to repossess our own land, for our own animals, especially in local communities.

If we want to help nature we desperately need to end factory farming and go back producing our own food, in our own communities. This is about learning to work-with the land, NOT try to change and control it to satisfy our own greed.

This lovely project is one way we can all relearn about the land and food that supports us. Doing that will vastly improve our mental health - on Mental Health Day - because it will enable us to take control of our lives again, and our relationship with the natural world.

Happy Saturday !!!

I just have to share this fabulous picture from the Hawk and Owl Trust.

It's of a jay in flight, with an acorn, taken by Glyn Bowman.

It's awesome, and an awesome biird who helps sow the seeds of our forests. Brilliant shot, Glyn, thanks for the share πŸ™

What it says was part of our discussions at the fortnightly meeting last night. Following the old ways, the deer trods, is not called the Crooked Path for nothing πŸ˜‰

You set off hunting and stalking one thing, with a clear idea of where you're going and you end up going a different way, and what you're hunting turns out not to look like what you thought at all! Which is why one of our maxims is "Be full of expectancy but without expectations" ❣️

That's what working magically is all about ...
