Upcoming Flu & COVID Clinics – October 2025

Flu and COVID vaccination clinics will be held at Church Stretton Medical Practice (by appointment only) on the following dates:

• Saturday 4th October – For those aged 75+ (including anyone turning 75 by 31st January 2026)
• Saturday 11th October – For those aged 75+ (Flu & COVID) and 65+ or in at-risk health groups (Flu only)

Please note:
• NHS National invites will be sent from 22nd September. If you’ve already booked, there’s no need to contact the surgery.
• If you cannot attend these dates, additional smaller clinics will be arranged, and invites will be sent to all eligible patients.
• If you believe you are eligible but haven’t received an invite by 11th October, please call the vaccination helpline via the main number.

Emergency Alerts Test – Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm

What to know:
The UK Government will be running a test of the Emergency Alerts system at 3 pm on Sunday 7 September.

Phones and tablets that are compatible will emit a loud siren-like sound and vibrate, even if on silent.

You do not need to take any action during the alert — it's just a test.

This system is designed to warn you of local dangers like severe weather or other emergencies.

Important advice for those at risk of coercive control or domestic abuse: If you’re caring for someone who has a concealed phone or you're in a situation where unexpected alerts could cause harm, it’s vital to be aware and prepared.

The UK government is testing the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm. Compatible mobile phones and tablets will receive an alert, make a loud siren-like sound and vibrate. You will not need to take any action.

The Emergency Alerts system is used to warn if there’s a danger to life nearby, including extreme weather. Regular testing ensures the system is functioning correctly, should it need to be used in a life-threatening emergency.
