May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

1 in 41 women will be diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime and 1 in 35 men.

Skin cancer occurs in areas that are most frequently exposed to the sun, such as the head, face and forearms.
But let's not forget feet can also be affected.

Check your skin and your partners skin often, and wear sunscreen! 🙏 Most weather apps now also give you a UV rating for the day. A UV rating of over 5 you should be applying SPF 50+ regularly.

At Chosen Podiatry we have recently procured a dermatoscope!! A dermatoscope is a specialist piece of equipment to allow a closer inspection of any questionable looking areas of the skin.

Well what a start for this little clinic.... To think 5 months ago it wasn't ours yet!
Thank you so much for everyone's support both friends and family without whom we would have most likely not succeeded, but also to our patients for bearing with us as we found our feet.

At Chosen Podiatry we are pleased to announce that we are OPEN!!!

We are operating at a reduced capacity at the moment (Due to one of the directors being on maternity leave) But we do have a few appointments available.

We are open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Whether you would like help with an ingrowing toe nail or verruca, hard skin or A diabetic foot review our lovely receptionist would be happy to get you booked in.
