Now that's a cracking shop, bought from real people.

The meat from the butchers van and all that beautiful fruit and veg from the stall next to him.

Why is that important?

Because the veg has dirt on which means it's as nature intended, no chemicals, real people growing it and that couple of quid stays with our community.

8 leeks for a quid, all them tatoes a quid, onions a quid.

That alone is enough for a few meals.

The meat will stretch us as a family of 5 easily 20 meals.

Tesco won't do you any favours, only steal your hard earned money.

The veg guy would do you a fair deal on buying multiple items I'm damn sure of it.

So if you do anything next weekend, let it be visit them.

Get yourself some proper food and tell me how different you feel in a few weeks...

Because it will be a change you notice, that I can promise.

I'll be honest, I've never been a huge millionaire shortbread fan, always seems too dry and the chocolate on top isn't chocolate at all, too much oil and just all round bad stuff but the hubby said about how he loved them and I thought...ya know what, I'm going to make that snazzy sod some.

And I absolutely nailed it!

The caramel was a long winded job due to the quantity but it was worth it, absolutely delightful!

We are stocked ready to go with our delicious artisan bakes 🫶

Please plan ahead and bring the correct money or you can risk it with our QR payments and the signal here put please note you cannot take the product until it has gone through 🖤

The shack opens at 9am and closes at 9pm.

I will of course update you if we sell out but we have baked up a storm so there should be plenty available for you guys 😊

Well I've finally popped down tools for the evening, The Shack will be open tomorrow 🥳

We will have QR codes for those who can get signal in our scenic little village of Soudley 🫢 but I do recommend cash just incase.

We have the locked cash box and products which are covered by CCTV, so please be aware you are being filmed on our property by a variety of cameras 🫶

Please use the carpark and shut our gate if you can 😊

Our Story

Asylum of cakery is the home of insane cakes.

Technically a team of one with an additional pair of eyes.

By we I mean my husband and I, I personally do design, bake, sculpt, clean, advertise and my husband helps with frame work and tweaking.

We have been around since 2013 and tend to do some pretty awesome cakes and still have so many to come! Baking was not something that came naturally to us and we have not been doing it all our lives but one day on a frosty January morning, we decided to make a cake for our mothers birthday and it was a horrific mess but it spurred on this desire to improve ... and that we did.
