Mulberry Hypnotherapy

Mulberry Hypnotherapy I work with people living with anxiety, fear or overwhelm; who are desperate for change but are stuck; impacting both them and others.

I help them overcome fears, build confidence and regain control. Making things that once seemed impossible now possible. Hypnotherapy is a safe, powerful psychotherapeutic tool which can be used to break the negative cycle of depression and anxiety. It can help with addictions, anger, blood pressure, weight control, lack of confidence, insomnia, IBS, relationship/marital difficulties, migraine, nail biting, nightmares, obsessions, panic attacks, fears, phobias, stress and many more, some of which I have listed below. Hypnotherapy uses the application of hypnotic techniques to bring about therapeutic change and is a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Hypnotherapy can help with many issues, and generally clients find that the benefits of hypnotherapy ripple into many areas of their life. Hypnotherapy isn’t about being “put under” because hypnosis is not unconsciousness and it’s not like anesthesia or sleep. It’s a state of focused awareness, not loss of control 💫

People often describe hypnosis as similar to:

✨Being absorbed in a movie or book
✨Daydreaming
✨Driving on autopilot

Being stuck isn’t a lack of motivation. 😅

It’s your nervous system choosing safety.

When the subconscious perceives change as a threat whether emotional, relational, or physical. It will keep repeating what’s familiar, even if it no longer serves you.

This is why awareness alone doesn’t create change. You can understand a pattern and still feel unable to move beyond it.

Being stuck is not failure.
It’s protection.

And real change doesn’t come from forcing yourself forward it comes from helping your system feel safe enough to move ❤️

We’re taught that change begins on January 1st.

But real change doesn’t happen because the calendar says it’s time.

You can make a meaningful shift on a Tuesday in March, a quiet evening in July, or in the middle of a hard week in October.

Change is available at any point when you’re ready, not when you’re pressured.

This is why New Year’s resolutions so often fail. They focus on what you want to do differently, without addressing why the old patterns exist in the first place.

Willpower alone can’t override a nervous system that feels unsafe or a subconscious mind that’s protecting you.

Lasting change only happens when something deeper shift, when awareness replaces autopilot, when safety replaces self-criticism, and when your inner world is supported, not forced.

You don’t need a new year.

You need a new relationship with yourself.

And that can begin anytime. 💫

Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, automatic thoughts, images, or urges that can feel disturbing or completely out of character. Almost everyone has them at some point. They can pop up suddenly and often target the things we care about most our loved ones, our values, or our sense of safety.

Having an intrusive thought does not mean you want it, believe it, or will act on it. In fact, the distress they cause usually shows just how strongly they go against your values.

Intrusive thoughts become an issue when:

• They are frequent, intense, or distressing
• You feel responsible for stopping or neutralising them
• You engage in reassurance-seeking, avoidance, or mental checking
• They start to impact daily life, sleep, relationships, or enjoyment
• Anxiety or fear increases the more you try to “get rid” of them

At this point, the problem isn’t the thought itself it’s the cycle of fear, meaning, and response around the thought.

Often after having a baby, many people notice a sudden increase in intrusive thoughts. This is very common and has nothing to do with your character, intentions, or ability as a parent.

Support can help break this cycle, reduce fear, and restore a sense of calm and trust in your own mind. You are not broken, dangerous, or failing! Your nervous system is stuck in a threat loop, and that can be gently retrained.

If this resonates with you, help is available, and change is possible! Get in touch ❤️

“I’ve tried everything.” That’s usually how our first conversation begins! You haven’t failed, your mind has just been protecting you the only way it knows how.

Hypnotherapy works where willpower can’t, because change doesn’t start in the conscious mind 💫
