ELECTROACUPUNCTURE
Since introducing electroacupuncture to my practice in 2022, it has never ceased to amaze me. I use it to treat acute and chronic injuries - including muscle strains and tears, ligament and joint sprains. Without fail, patients see a positive improvement in their symptoms.
Electroacupuncture works by continuously stimulating the needle, to clear stagnation (which causes the pain) , and nourishing and tonifying Blood and Qi (the good stuff that helps the injury get better). To assist the healing process further, I also use an Infrared therapeutic lamp. This increases the blood flow and circulation of Qi to the affected area.

If you are struggling with an acute or chronic injury and haven't tried electroacupuncture yet, then please don't hesitate to give me a call - 07786 432330

On Thursday, this little old country girl left the shire to attend an Acupuncture related Anatomy training course at the Dissection labs at King's College, London.

The focus of this one day CPD in anatomy revision was safe needling :
✅️ Improving anatomical understanding
✅️ Enhanced needle placement accuracy
✅️ Deeper appreciation of body mechanic

Thanks to the AAC, Kevin Young and the anatomists/demonstrators at KCL for this fantastic day 😁

Wow, I have been in hibernation far too long but I think this weekends weather might just encourage me to come out again.
I haven't posted here since October but I can assure you that Louise Ward Acupuncture has been very busy during this time.

This is just some of the cases I have been helping people with:
✅ ️Fertility
✅️ Sports injuries
✅️ Mental health
✅️ Menopause and peri menopause
✅️ Chronic fatigue
✅ ️Recovery after cancer treatment
✅️ Musculoskeletal pain

I have also been keeping up with
✅️ CPD (continuous professional development). Taking part in a fantastic 8 week course entitled: Unique patient; Unique practitioner

✅️ And I might have also had a cheeky little holiday 😜

Dry needling vs acupuncture
Acupuncture is not a protected title, therefore if a practitioner is actually dry needling, they can call it acupuncture. However, there is a very important difference between the two.
Please take the time to read this article and make sure you are fully informed before you choose a therapist.

A couple of discussions can be made when the topic of dry needling vs. acupuncture shows up.

I began my career as a health care professional in 2001, working as a sports massage therapist until 2015, when I graduated with a BSc Hons in Acupuncture.
I now practice professional acupuncture, using a multidisciplinary approach to all presenting symptoms or conditions. My aim will always be to get to the root cause, to achieve optimal health improvements - Acupuncture and so much more
