The festive season has been full of warmth, laughter and togetherness here at Stratton Court, Cirencester 💛

From celebrating with our wonderful team and residents, to festive dining, special visitors and supporting meaningful causes — it’s been a truly magical time.

We’re so proud of our community and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year 🎅🎁

Our festive lunch is complete, with bells on.

We are all full of delicious, pate, soup, turkey, with all.of the trimmings, and of course, Christmas Pudd' with custard.

A sell out lunch and our last event of 2025 for our Charity of the Year: Sue Ryder.

It is December 2, so it must be English Breakfast Day!
The tradition of the full English breakfast is one that is regularly enjoyed in all four corners of the earth. In the United Kingdom, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the full English Breakfast is making a roaring comeback and is now more popular than at any time since the 1960’s.
To celebrate, here are our Top 5, that we have found on our travels. Please make your own suggestions in comments, so we can go and check them out.

The press have picked up on our feat at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Two members of our Stratton Court team ran the gauntlet of the course that has beaten some of the best jockeys and champion horses. The care home chef, Grace Horgan, dressed as a parrot, while maintenance, Marlon Buuljens was the horse, it was the latter that managed to finish in the places, a respectable second, and all in aid of our Charity of the Year Sue Ryder .

Last night we started the Christmas festivities at Stratton Court, we had a very special light switch on with minced pies and mulled wine 💕 Thank you to everyone for joining us!

We have our CQC report back, and we are absolutely delighted to announce we achieved a brilliant rating of GOOD across all five areas!

A huge well done to our team at Stratton Court, we are so unbelievably proud and grateful to have such a dedicated and caring team.

Thank you for all the support from our families, residents, and local professionals, we look forward to continue to progress and go from strength to strength!

What a days racing, and we do not mean the horses in the Paddy Power meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse , but our own foray onto the course as a parrot and a horse in the mascots race!

All was for a good cause, Sue Ryder, our Charity of the Year, and we can confirm we placed. One of our duo, finishing a respectable third - well done Marlon!

Another pet accesory commission completed!

Our clever residents helped design and construct the "Cuddly Cavies, Caves of Fun".

More photos to follow next week when the lovely Guinea pigs road test our creation. 😁💕

Lest We Forget!

We will never forget all the courageous men, women & animals who served us so bravely.

We are remembering this time with our wonderful display made by our fantastic residents.

We also hosted our "Remembrance Cafe" with tea and cakes at our Camberley home. Thank you to all our chefs for the delicious treats.

Today will be a time to reflect at the Cenotaph, whilst watching the service.
