Love was truly in the air as we celebrated with a delightful cream tea, complete with sweet treats and a touch of pink champagne to make the afternoon extra special. The lounge was filled with smiles, laughter, and the gentle clink of glasses as residents, both friends and couples spent quality time together.

Throughout the day, many of our residents enjoyed getting creative, making handmade cards and thoughtful little gifts for one another. It was heartwarming to see such kindness, affection, and friendship shared across the home.

Moments like these remind us that love comes in many forms, friendship, companionship, and the simple joy of spending time together. Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone. 💕

A lovely afternoon at the pub made even more special by a very important visitor… Luigi the horse! 🐴

There were smiles all around as residents enjoyed the fresh air, good company, and the gentle presence of our four-legged friend. What made this visit even more meaningful is that each of these residents has a history with horses. Whether owning them, working as jockeys, or caring for polo ponies, so this truly brought back treasured memories. Horsemen and women never forget that pull on the heart when it comes to these animals.

Moments like these spark conversation, stir emotions, and remind us how powerful a simple outing can be.

We had a fabulous National Yorkshire Pudding Day.

Our very own, head chef Grace, beat chef and two-successive-years-in-a row champion Ethan Rodgers, The Bakers Arms pub in Broad Campden, Rob Goves of catering company the Relish Catering UK, and her colleague and apprentice Riley Scriven, in a Battle of the Best Yorkie.

Thank you to our extra two judges, Lady Bathurst, and Foyez Rahman of YouMe&Umami, and Sasa’s Indian Kitchen & Bar.

Congrats Grace, and we are looking forward to Sunday lunch even more now, and it is only Tuesday!

We were delighted to welcome our local police officers into the home for a visit filled with coffee, treats, plenty of laughs, and lovely conversations. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed meeting them, sharing stories, and spending time together - a really heart-warming reminder of the strong community around us ☕🍰👮‍♂️✨

Yesterday was National Chocolate Cake Day and tragically, we were forced to celebrate. Against our will, of course 😉 Somehow plates were filled, smiles appeared, and not a single crumb was left behind. A truly difficult day for all involved… but sacrifices had to be made 🍰😌
