We have been so lucky at Paternoster House to receive so many donations and gifts.

Firstly thank you to Jago Hartland at Somerford Keynes for donating our outdoor Christmas Tree. Your thoughtful gift has helped bring the spirit of Christmas to our residents, families and staff. Seeing the tree outside has added warmth, Joy, and sense of celebration to everyone who passes by.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Tesco for their generous donation of mince pies.

Your kindness and continue support are truly appreciated and it means a great deal to everyone at Paternoster House.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Companions of Malta, for their thoughtful donation of battery lit candles and Christmas cards to our residents, particularly those who remain in their rooms. Your generosity brought comfort, light and festive cheer to our residents during the Christmas Season.

Our Pat Therapy Dog Bailey and Pat Therapy Pony Charm, came walking through the door together this morning. Residents were surprised but also laughing. The pair moved together from resident to resident. Bailey offering warm cuddles and Charm lowering her head for gentle strokes. The staff watched in amazement: not only were the residents engaged, but the two animals had an instant bond.

By the time the visit had ended the room was buzzing with with energy and conversation.

Residents at Paternoster House were treated to a heartwarming surprise this week, when a pair of Reindeers trotted in for a special Christmas visit. The festive guests, complete with soft winter coats, brought smiles, laughter, and a touch of North Pole enchantment to everyone.

Many residents reminisced about childhood winters and traditions, sharing stories with staff, family members and children.

Paternoster House would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to St. James's Place Charitable Foundation for your generous donation that made our Christmas reindeer visit possible. Your support brought extraordinary joy to our residents.

On international Volunteers Day, we proudly took the opportunity to honor the compassionate individuals who give their time, energy and hearts to support our residents. Volunteers play a vital role and their presence brings comfort, companionship, and joy to everyone in our home.

To express our gratitude, residents and staff came together for a small but meaningful ceremony. Volunteers were welcomed with heartfelt words of appreciation, followed by the presentation of flowers as a token of thanks.

Residents Aim for a World Record with Christmas Tree Bauble Challenge🎄

This week excitement filled the halls of Paternoster House as our residents came together for a festive and fun world-record attempt: placing the most Christmas Baubles on a single Christmas Tree!

Residents, staff and volunteers gathered in the dining room, where the tree stood ready to be transformed. With Christmas music playing in the background, our residents got straight to work, carefully hanging bauble after bauble while sharing stories of past Christmases.

each residents contributed , whether by selecting baubles, hanging them or cheering on their fellow decorators.

By the end of the event, Residents, staff and volunteers managed to hang 398 baubles on the Christmas Tree.

While we await confirmation, one thing is for certain, Paternoster House makes a great team ❤

The spirit of Halloween came alive this afternoon, where residents, staff, family and friends enjoyed a heartwarming celebration filled with laughter, music from the fabulous TONY M and festive fun. We all decorated the dining room with Pumpkins, Bunting, Table Decorations and had a delicious buffet prepared by our wonderful chef Gerry.

The highlight of the afternoon was a visit from Tiny Tots Nursery and Mighty Oaks School Club. Residents and children joined in clapping and singing along. Tiny Tots Nursery sang us a beautiful version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
