Residents and staff joined together for maypole dancing, gathering around the brightly decorated pole to take part in lively May Day celebrations. 🌸🎀

With music playing and ribbons weaving in colourful patterns, the atmosphere was cheerful, fun and inclusive. A wonderful way to celebrate the arrival of spring and continue a much-loved tradition. 💛

The Men’s Club was a big hit this week 💛

Residents enjoyed a traditional pork pie and pint together, creating a warm and sociable atmosphere filled with laughter and shared memories. Farming became the main topic of conversation, with residents reminiscing about life in the countryside, caring for animals and harvesting crops.

It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, connecting over their experiences while enjoying a much-loved classic treat 🍻

Residents had a lovely time making homemade sausage rolls together 🥐💛

Everyone got hands-on in the kitchen, helping to prepare ingredients, roll the pastry and create delicious treats from scratch. There was lots of laughter and conversation throughout, making it a fun and social experience for all.

The finished sausage rolls were enjoyed by everyone, and residents were proud of what they had made!

Residents at Film Club enjoyed a wonderful afternoon watching Mary Poppins 🎬✨

The much-loved classic brought smiles to everyone’s faces, with residents singing along to familiar songs and enjoying the magical adventures on screen.

It was a relaxing and uplifting experience, with many sharing fond memories of the film afterwards 💛

We had another fantastic session with Yvette from Music, Movement and Fun — full of energy, creativity and joy! 🎶✨

This time, we explored the magic of musicals, bringing songs from well-loved shows to life through movement, rhythm and expression. It truly felt like stepping onto a stage!

There was plenty of dancing, singing along and using instruments to capture the mood of each scene, creating an immersive and uplifting experience. Yvette’s enthusiasm made it all the more engaging — a wonderful way to connect music, movement and creativity 💛

If you’re a mum looking to get out of the house, meet new people, and enjoy some relaxed time with your little one, our Mother & Baby Group at Paternoster Care Home will be the perfect place for you.

Starting this May, the group offers a warm, friendly environment where you can chat with other mums and residents and also share experiences, and build supportive connections while your baby enjoys a safe and welcoming space. Whether it’s your first baby or not, everyone is welcome! Come along and be part of a lovely, supportive community.

Residents, care workers, and family members enjoyed cheese, wine, fruit, and music on a lovely sunny day! 🍷🧀

The lovely sunny weather created a warm and uplifting atmosphere, perfect for bringing everyone together outdoors. The gentle breeze and bright blue skies made it a joy to sit outside, relax, and enjoy good company.

Sunshine seemed to lift everyone’s spirits, adding a cheerful glow to the day and making simple moments like sharing food, listening to music, and chatting with loved ones feel even more special. It was one of those days where the weather truly made everything feel brighter and more enjoyable. ☀️
