Burning between the shoulder blades? 🔥
That tight, aching feeling often comes from muscles that are overworked, tense, or irritated from long hours sitting at a desk, driving, or dealing with stressful work situations. When this keeps happening, the muscles around the upper back can become stuck in a lengthened, overloaded position - like a stretched rubber band that can’t fully relax.
This can lead to sensitivity, pain, and the tissue can become full of trigger points.
Sports massage to help with that burning feeling between the shoulder blades isn’t just about working on the sore spots. It’s also about identifying where other tissue may be tight and restricted. Often the muscles at the front of the body and around the rib cage become shortened and stiff, in this case, which can place extra strain on the upper back and between the shoulder blades.
Posture isn’t always the only cause of course, and long-standing issues may take more than one session to properly settle. But clients often say they feel looser, lighter, and more comfortable straight after the first treatment.
Come and find out if sports massage can ease away your desk-work niggles 😉
