Why Did I Become a Reflexologist? 👣
Having worked as a Midwife for 20 years I came to reflexology quite naturally. I was privileged to be a part of momentous occasions for thousands of women and their babies & it was always clear that the act of human touch played an important role in calming and connecting with people. Massage and aromatherapy played a regular part in the care I provided.
Reflexology in particular always fascinated me and when the opportunity arrived I took some time out and threw myself in training. I quickly fell in love with the therapy and everyday it offers something new . I love how it completely relaxes a person yet encourages the body to heal and can be used by everyone from newborn babies, during pregnancy, those with health conditions and those at the end of life.

☀️SOLAR PLEXUS☀️
The solar plexus is a complex bundle of nerves linked to our nervous system. It plays an important role in the function of our kidneys, stomach, liver and adrenal glands.

At times of stress or discomfort our solar plexus can become blocked and has to work harder.

Touching the solar plexus reflex point on the feet (shown as the sun) is a really effective way to support this part of our body.

It’s especially great if your baby or child is upset, worried, suffering with colic, reflux or constipation or has IBS.

The pineal gland is responsible for the production of melatonin which regulates your babies’ sleeping pattern. It’s not until around 3 months of age that this is established. Until then, their sleep/wake pattern is governed more by their need for milk 👣👼🏼💕

Finding balance is particularly hard at the moment, with so many things requiring our attention and time.
But we are not superhero’s and need to be kinder to ourselves!! It’s ok if we have a day off from homeschooling, if we don’t do the pile of washing, if the kids have pizza for dinner, if you want to sit in the evening and just watch tv....it’s ok!! .
What is important is that we take time out, stop and recharge .”
I totally understand this!

A good tip from HQ

I’m seeing lots of posts from parents this week worried about their children. Emotions are running high for so many children. There are some lovely simple techniques you can use to help them relax.
Hold the area between their eye brows for a few seconds.
Stroke up the centre of their forehead from between the eyebrows up to their hair line, repeat a few times.
Hold the centre of their forehead with your finger for a for seconds.
Video for these techniques can be seen in my story 💕

This was something I had to tell myself a lot when my daughter was a baby. I suffered with post natal depression and thought I was a terrible mum. My daughter had severe reflux and this meant days and nights of constant crying, nothing I did would settle her. I never asked for help, I was worried I would seem a bad mum for not coping.
But it is ok to ask for support, you are a brilliant mum, but tiredness, feelings of frustration and feeling upset that you can’t calm your baby can leave you feeling exhausted and useless.
I created Tiny Toes because I wanted to help support other mums and help prevent other mums feeling how I did.
If you are struggling right now there are people who can help you, this is an isolating time for new mums but you can still find support.
If you have a baby who is struggling with reflux or colic please contact me. I can show you techniques to ease their discomfort, support you and point you in the right direction for further help and advice.

It begins with first touch….

Reflexology and massage for babies is a gentle natural way to enhance your bond with soothing calming techniques to use on their body and feet.

Babies thrive on loving touch ... recent studies have shown baby massage can have a positive effect on childhood development.

When babies cry, it can be upsetting and difficult to know what is wrong with them, as a parent, carer or grandparent you can learn techniques from a fully qualified reflexologist and baby massage teacher to empower and strengthen your bond with your baby and feel confident to help them when they feel unsettled.

Babies love being touched and cuddled and will soon learn to offer their feet for this enjoyable treatment, over the course you will learn techniques to help your baby with;
