I went to the beautiful Emmanuel Centre in London this evening to see Dr Rangan Chatterjee speak about his book Happy Mind Happy Life.
I love sitting in a beautiful space surrounded by people who are all there with the same intention, to understand ourselves better and to support our wellbeing, mind and body.
What really came through is that happiness looks different for each of us. It isn’t something we can expect the world around us to provide, but something that grows when we align our daily lives with what truly matters to us - our values, boundaries, and sense of purpose. That includes setting gentle goals that guide us without over-obsessing on the outcome, acknowledging what we already have, and occasionally pausing to ask ourselves: if we were looking back at our life, what would be the top three things that mattered…….and are we living in a way that honours them?
It was such a good reminder that small, consistent changes really can make a big difference to how we feel day to day, and to our overall outlook on life,
something I often talk about with patients I’m supporting with their emotional health 🌿
I left feeling inspired, grounded, and fully committed to a happier mind…well,
at least until tomorrow morning when the emails start. 😂🙃
A genuinely lovely evening ✨
