✨The Illumina Test: Unrivalled Accuracy and Peace of Mind 🤰

The Illumina Test utilises a straightforward blood test taken from the expectant mother, starting as early as the 10th week of pregnancy. This test is highly proficient at predicting common chromosomal abnormalities such as Trisomy 21 (Down’s Syndrome), Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome), and Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome).

Clinical research demonstrates that the Illumina Test boasts detection rates of over 99% for Down’s Syndrome, all while posing no risk to the developing baby. This non-invasive approach is a far more attractive alternative to the traditional, invasive methods like chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis, which can be both stressful and pose potential risks. 👩‍⚕️

We invite you to experience the exceptional precision and peace of mind offered by the Illumina Test. Make informed decisions about your pregnancy with the most advanced non-invasive prenatal screening available. 💜

Contact Grosvenor Gardens Healthcare today for more information and to schedule your screening.

🌸 September is PCOS Awareness Month 💜

Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) affects 1 in 10 women of reproductive age, yet many remain undiagnosed. Raising awareness is the first step toward better care, understanding, and support.

🔷Understanding Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS)

PCOS is a common hormonal condition affecting the ovaries. It’s named for the small fluid-filled sacs (cysts) that may appear on the ovaries, though not everyone with PCOS has them. It often develops in adolescence or early adulthood but can be diagnosed at any age.

🔶Key Hormonal Imbalances

✔️Excess Androgens: High ‘male’ hormones cause hirsutism and acne.
✔️Insulin Resistance: Common in PCOS; linked to weight gain and type 2 diabetes risk.
✔️Irregular Ovulation: Hormonal issues disrupt ovulation, causing irregular periods and fertility problems.

🔷Signs & Symptoms

☑Irregular Periods: Fewer than 9/year
☑Hirsutism: Face, chest, back hair growth
☑Acne/Oily Skin: Hormonal breakouts
☑Weight Gain: Hard to lose weight
☑Thinning Hair: Scalp hair loss
☑Fertility Issues: Trouble conceiving
☑Mood Changes: Anxiety, low mood

Living with PCOS can be challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. At Grosvenor Gardens Healthcare, our goal is to empower you with clear information, customised treatment plans, and continuous support.💗

Our experienced gynaecologists understand the varied impact of PCOS on hormonal balance, fertility, and overall wellbeing. We create individualised treatment plans to address the full spectrum of PCOS symptoms, guiding you every step of the way.

Contact us today to schedule a private consultation or to learn more about our specialist approach to diagnosing and managing Polycystic O***y Syndrome.

🤰Ge***al herpes is a common sexually transmitted infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). If you’re pregnant and have a history of herpes, you may be concerned about how it could affect your baby.

Does Ge***al Herpes Affect Pregnancy?

✔ In most cases, pregnancy proceeds without complications
✔ The greatest risk is transmission during delivery, especially if the first outbreak occurs late in pregnancy
✔ Neonatal herpes is rare but can be serious

What Can Be Done to Reduce Risk?

☑If you have a known history of herpes, your obstetrician may recommend antiviral medication from 36 weeks
☑If active lesions are present during labour, a planned caesarean section may be advised
☑Open communication with your obstetrician ensures a tailored birth plan
Specialist Support Throughout Pregnancy

At Grosvenor Gardens Healthcare, we offer confidential, compassionate care for women with ge***al herpes in pregnancy. We’ll guide you through the safest delivery options while protecting your baby’s wellbeing.💜
