This is a message for our lovely clients and followers who may have recently read or heard about the CMA’s investigation into veterinary services.

We understand that some of the information might be concerning and so we wanted to reassure you as valued clients and remind you about how we work.

Here, at Vets for Pets Cumbernauld, we have been an integral part of our local community for over 6 years now, where we strive to provide the best possible care for pets and their owners through every stage of life. In addition, we always try to give back to our community by donating to various charities.

We have an impeccable team of Client Care Advisors, Veterinary Care Assistant, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Practice Manager and Veterinary Surgeons, who are all highly trained professionals that dedicate their lives to work with animals because they care deeply about their welfare and, above all else, want to keep them happy and healthy.

One of our practice owners is our incredible Vet Brian, whom many of you will know and recognise from your visits. Brian is also a certificate holder of small animal orthopaedic surgery, and so has a breadth of knowledge in this area and always thrives to help your pets at an affordable rate in the orthopaedic field, for example fracture repairs.

Cumbernauld partners with the Vets for Pets brand to access support services such as HR and legal, but otherwise all decisions about your pet’s care are made right here by the people who know them better than anyone else. We understand what matters to pet owners and have shaped our services and prices around those needs, ensuring that high quality veterinary care is both affordable and accessible.

Please note that one of the CMAs mandates is to cap the fees for written prescriptions at £21 - our fee is £15 so we are already well under average for the UK and certainly for the local area. This has been set to allow your pets to get access to the most appropriate and potentially most advanced treatments where they are required; right here in Cumbernauld.

We are the only local practice with a CT scanner with our first area scan fee set at £700. This is less than half the cost of any referral centres CT scanning fees. We take pride in being able to provide these high quality procedures at really good value - please continue to support us so that we can continue to keep costs down.

We take great pride in the work we do and the community we serve, and we will continue to do so. If you have any questions or would like to understand more about your pet’s care, please speak to us.

Ever wondered what a day in the life of a veterinary physiotherapist looks like? 🐎🐕

Early start at the yard checking on the ponies, before heading into an afternoon of canine physio appointments. Today included supporting dogs managing arthritis and rehabilitation after TPLO surgery, all focused on improving mobility, comfort and strength.

Now the day ends the same way many do. Heading home after a long day, catching up on admin and finally sitting down with a well earned cuppa ☕

Long days, but helping animals move and feel better makes it all worth it.

The many faces (one) behind the business 📚

I had to jump on this trend 🥹

Being a solo business owner isn’t easy, but remembering how badly I wanted to work with animals keeps me going on the hard days.

This little girl would be in awe of the life I have created ✨

Swipe to the end for a cutie 🥰

Physiotherapy isn’t just rehab. It’s smart prevention. 🐾🐴

Whether it’s your dog, cat, or horse, regular physio helps catch weakness, imbalance, and compensation early before it turns into ligament injuries, chronic pain, or surgical cases. That’s better health for your animal and serious savings for you. 💛

📚 Research shows that structured rehab for animals:

- Improves balance and body awareness, helping prevent injuries (Frontiers in Veterinary Science)

- Enhances recovery after orthopaedic surgery (BMC Veterinary Research)

- Reduces pain and improves mobility in chronic conditions like osteoarthritis, often lowering long-term medication needs (Animals)

Fewer injuries
Fewer repeat vet visits
Less medication
Lower risk of costly surgery

Investing in preventative physiotherapy now can save thousands later and keep your furry and equine friends happy and moving.

Prevention protects both your animal and your wallet 🐶🐱🐴

🤎 Hello and Welcome🤎

For those who are new here, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Suzanne, I’m a Veterinary Physiotherapist, originally from Portrush, Northern Ireland. I now live in Scotland, and cover a large area of the central belt, including Clacks, Stirling, Fife, Perth and beyond.

I’m deeply passionate about helping animals move comfortably, confidently, and without pain, at every stage of their lives. I work with animals to support mobility, recovery, performance, and overall quality of life, always tailoring my approach to each individual and their needs.

MY WHY 🤍
I believe all animals deserve to live pain-free lives. Because when animals are comfortable, they’re happier and they get to enjoy more time doing what they love, with the humans who love them most.

Pain doesn’t just affect movement; it takes away joy, confidence, and precious moments. Through veterinary physiotherapy, I help support comfort, mobility, and quality of life, whether that’s helping an animal recover from injury, manage ongoing conditions, or simply stay active as they age.

I’m a big believer in gentle, compassionate, and evidence-based care, and in working closely with owners (and vets) to support the whole animal, not just the symptoms.

If you’re ever worried about your animal’s movement, comfort, or wellbeing, or even if you’re just curious about how physiotherapy could help, please feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to chat and help where I can 🐕🐎✨
