Job Description
This Job Description and Person Specification is a statement of the core duties of a Rota/Staff Coordinator
Accountability
The Coordinator is accountable to, and reports to the Registered Manager, Staff Operations manager, Rota Team Manager and to the individual receiving the support.
Role and Responsibility
The main responsibility of the Rota/ Staff Coordinator is to coordinate and manage the electronic rota system. The Staff/Rota Coordinator will be expected to fully participate in the on call system operated by CFT Care Ltd.

Main responsibilities
 You will ensure that the required staffing levels are on each shift with the appropriate skill set, and that cover is provided for all absences
 Using our electronic rota system to maintain up to date information on staff that work within the services and produce the rota
 Produce a rota to allocate staff to shifts to maintain staffing levels to deliver the right service.
 You will provide general administration support to the Team including inputting of data
 You will also provide support in various forms to the staff team to include supervision and direct observation
 Dedicated to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service by managing all of the above
Experience (Essential)
 Experience of using electronic rota planning systems. We currently use Access People Planner.
 Knowledge of scheduling and planning is a distinct advantage as you will need to be able to think quickly and come up with solutions
 High organised and attention to detail
 Strong communication skills and be able to work in a busy environment
 Ability to thrive in a fast paced collaborative team environment
Skills/Attributes (Essential)
 Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
 Good time management and organisational skills.
 Ability to use initiative and work independently as well as in partnership with peers.
 Ability to motivate and lead a staff team and manage difficult situations calmly and effectively, including conflicts that may arise.
 Ability to work flexibly.
Additional Requirements (Essential)
 This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with satisfactory clearance.
 Full driving licence.

CFT Care Ltd is a supported living service that promotes a person-centred approach. Support packages are tailor-made around an individual’s needs. Our aim is to maximise the individual’s independence which includes running their own home, making informed choices and achieving value for money from their support package.

We encourage and support the individual to become an active member of their local community.This lifestyle reduces the risk of the individual becoming socially isolated and empowers them to develop and maintain social and life-skills.

Main Responsibilities

To ensure the individuals receives the highest quality of support in line with the values of CFT Care Ltd the Deputy will be employed:

Ø To ensure the team provide direct support that meets the Service User’s person-centred support plan in accordance with their needs and wishes.

Ø To ensure communication is effective with the Service User, their family, friends, other members of the team and relevant health professionals.

Ø To ensure the Service User remains at the centre of their support.

Ø To lead the team in ensuring the Service User is empowered and supported in a creative and thoughtful manner which suits them.

Ø To lead the team to find potential for the Service User to make decisions and take control of their own lives as far as possible.

Ø To work using initiative, in partnership with other members of the team and the Registered Manager to find proactive solutions and ideas which ensure positive and consistent reactive strategies are in place to support the Service User.

Ø To take responsibility for ensuring the physical, emotional and mental well-being of the Service User is considered, liaising with other members of the team, the Registered Manager and health professionals, as required.

Ø To adhere to, and implement CFT Care Ltd policies and procedures, as well as external policies relevant to the organisation, in line with compliance requirements.

Ø To ensure any concerns regarding the Service User, and/or any safeguarding concerns are reported to the Registered Manager at the earliest opportunity.

Hours: 40 hours per week (with additional on-call)

Salary: £40,000 per year

Willow Park Lifeskills Centre, based in Weeley, is a learning and leisure environment for people with learning disabilities, physical and/or sensory impairments.

As an Activities Coordinator you will be supporting Service Users on a 1-1 basis within their chosen workshops, sensory room or swimming activities. You will be expected to meet all the requirements of the individual accessing the centre, in ensuring they have the best day possible whilst encouraging the learning of new skills and socialising with the other members.

You would need to be flexible between the hours of 7.30am - 6.30pm

We have a 20 hour a week contract available.

CFT Care Ltd. is based in Clacton on Sea, Essex. We work within a supported living environment where the Service Users live independently in their own flat or bungalow.

The aim of this position is to enable the Service Users to remain safely in their own home, with as much independence as possible. We provide care and support in a professional, discreet and caring manner, always ensuring the service user’s right to privacy and dignity is maintained.

As a Senior Team Leader/ Core you would be responsible for:

The efficient and effective day-to-day management of the services involved in providing support to the staff team and ensuring that the required standards are maintained.
