We are absolutely delighted with how Oak Tree’s annual Summer BBQ and Games Day turned out this year! Our chosen theme was Hawaiian, and we were fortunate to enjoy such beautiful weather for the occasion.

It truly was a fun-filled day, with many happy memories made and shared. A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful staff for dressing up, getting involved, and supporting in every way possible. A special mention goes to our Deputy Manager, Sarah, for her help in setting up and ensuring the day ran smoothly.

We are also grateful to the parents who joined us—it’s always a joy to share these special moments with you. And, of course, a big thank you to our service users; we hope you had a fantastic time and enjoyed the day’s activities.

Workshops will now continue as planned… until our next big event. Can anyone guess what it might be?

VE Day – 80 Years of Remembrance
Today, we commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day, marking the end of World War II in Europe in 1945. Across the world, celebrations took place, and here at Oak Tree, we took a moment to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who served. We observed a two-minute silence to pay our respects. A special thank you to our brilliant Facilitator Lee, a proud veteran, who created a moving and thoughtful display that left our service users truly in awe.

Easter 2025🐰🧡

A little late to post, but we've been busy making memories! We were blessed with beautiful weather, making it the perfect day for fun and festivities. As always, we kicked things off with our much-loved Oak Tree Easter Egg Hunt across the site, followed by a series of egg-citing Easter-themed team-building games. A joyful day enjoyed by all!

Comic Relief – Red Nose Day❤️

What a fantastic day we had celebrating Red Nose Day! From fun-filled games and a lively bake-off session to our very own Oak Tree Talent Show in the afternoon, the day was packed with laughter, creativity, and plenty of team spirit. A brilliant celebration that brought everyone together for a great cause!

Arts and crafts workshop - In arts and crafts, the service users have been creating a range of Valentine’s-themed projects and cards to express their affection for loved ones.

Through these activities, not only do service users tap into their creative potential, but they also engage their minds in ways that foster growth and well-being.

Woodwork workshop - Over the past month, the woodwork sessions have been buzzing with creativity as our service users worked on a variety of Valentine’s projects.

They thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to choose their own designs and bring them to life, skillfully using tools to craft their unique creations.

The process was not only fun but also empowering, as they saw their ideas take shape and turned into beautiful, tangible pieces.

Lifeskills Workshop - Over the course of the week, our service users have been focusing on literacy and reading activities, alongside engaging in matching pairs and words to pictures.

These exercises are not only enjoyable but also serve as powerful tools for brain stimulation.

This combination of activities supports mental agility and helps improve overall cognitive abilities, fostering both learning and personal growth.
