Sampling cakes - it's a hard job but someone has to do it. Then again, all the exercise with Oscar makes this is a well-deserved deserved treat!

From classic eclairs to sponge cakes and other desserts, there was something for everyone to enjoy - and judging by the smiles, it was a definite hit.

Thanks to Apetito for such a variety of cakes. It’s little moments like this that can make a day feel extra special.

We joined Joseph Care Home for some rock and roll at their summer party 🎤⭐

A lovely day to enjoy some tasty food and some sing-a-long classics - Pat and Colin loved every minute on the mic!

🤠The Wild Wild West brought to life at Edensor Summer Fête🐴 - and what a rootin’ tootin’ success it was!

Resident Tony’s cowboy dream came true as he met Lyla the pony, thanks to The Peaceful Pony CIC, while Cols Ice Cream & Events kept spirits high with classic ice cream treats 🍦.

With live music from Tacy, a lively tombola, BBQ, and dancing, the room was filled with fun, laughter, and a real sense of community. We loved welcoming families, friends, and visitors from Kingsgate and Joseph care homes!

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the day so special - especially our amazing team and volunteers.

We were invited to Kingsgate Care Home for a lovely summer party. Thank you so much for inviting us as Doris, Pat, Colin and Carole really enjoyed themselves as you can see from the pictures.
Thanks to Eva, Steve and Barbara too, for assisting with outings like these as it makes such a difference to be sociable.

Thank you Clacton Carnival for such a great day! We all loved the different floats and know so much effort went into organising it all. It brought such joy to our residents to watch whilst enjoying the good weather and sea breeze.

Edensor’s Wishlist is full of gift ideas that could bring more joy to our residents every day.

From mobility aides and Alzheimer's activities to aromatherapy and craft supplies, each item big or small will make a huge difference in the daily lives of the vulnerable people we care for.

You also might have many items on our lists lying about at home, unloved and unused but still in perfectly good nick - we’re more than happy to accept donations that are clean and in good working order.

Happy birthday to Colin! We love an excuse for cake and a sing song. Kate has also been visiting and doing one-to-one singalongs to encourage everyone to connect with music in their own way.

Lucy and Eva have been busy this week supporting residents to get out and about. Thanks to Sailship Training and Learning for Life Pamela and Doris enjoyed a great day out gardening followed by a lovely lunch.

We also received a kind invitation from nearby Joseph Nursing Home to attend their Sports Day, where they had arranged group games, food and even certificates! Pat and Charles had such fun, so thank you Joseph Nursing and Care Home for your welcoming atmosphere.

We had a fantastic live saxophone performance last week at Edensor from Mike Aremu who is performing “50 concerts for 50th birthdays” and we really appreciate him bringing one of those concerts to us!

What a difference the sunshine makes! We have had a lovely week at Edensor enjoying the garden, from the plants to games and exercise out on the patio and of course an ice cream to cool down. Here's to more good weather to come!

Life is all about balance, so we've been celebrating National Doughnut Day, then exercising them off again with sports and games all round.
