Reflecting on the last year (or 2) of business as the end of this year approaches.
It has been slightly different to previous years with a bit more corrective exercise in the mix. Working with people with different issues relating to joint problems, muscle problems, brain injuries and balance issues. People that have been involved in motor accidents, people recovering from strokes, people recovering from knee surgery, hip replacements and ankle fusions.
Also a lot of the more normal stuff if you like. The running injuries such as calf, hamstring and ITB problems. The back and neck problems from, work and posture with a particular increase over the last few years related to computers and mobile phones.
Over the years clients come and go, often because we have resolved the problem they came to see me with and found a way for them to manage or avoid the causes. Some move away (and occasionally still come back for treatment) whilst others lives change through age or illness. However often clients come back, often years later because I had helped them be pain free previously way back when.
And next year I will have been doing this for 28 years, something that seems hard to believe. Probably because I enjoy what I do and get a huge sense of satisfaction from helping all the people that I have helped over all those years, and plan to continue to for many more to come.
