⛅️ The rain stayed away and so the Care Farm came alive! Seeing the farm bustling with people, all working on skills that they can then go out and use in general community settings in the future is just magical.
🐑 🐖 We’ve had lots of new baby animals arrive over the last few days too!
🚶🏻New walks have opened so today everyone was exploring those, including the new picnic 🧺 area.
🦙 A young adult has a new role of walking the alpacas, which for her first time, she absolutely aced! We want to ensure they are easy to handle and so regular practise walking is important for them.
🆕 One of the children practised a new transition and did amazingly well, the time to transition shorter and they were much calmer too. There was also so much communication and independence!
👧🏻 One child had a day of community activities, parks and walks, including a large walk around our new walk, to see if their newly learned safety skills now mean they can be 1:1 in the community instead of 2:1 and they were amazing! Only a few months ago, it wasn’t possible and now through lots of work on safety skills, it is absolutely possible! More community activities, with less restrictive practises here we come!
We get the privilege of working with some adsolute superstars 🤩!
