The 2025 National Baton of Hope Tour will be in Cumbria on Sunday 7th September 2025.

This is a UK-wide su***de prevention campaign, which aims to raise awareness of su***de prevention support services and challenges the stigma around su***de and mental health.

Sadly, we are only too aware of the high su***de rates in Cumbria. Kay Wayman, who many of you will know personally and through her work as a funeral celebrant, will be a Baton Bearer and is leading a memorial service on the day. Kay lost her son to su***de in 2023 and she's shared some words below.
