🌍 World IVF Day 💛 25th July (great day for a birthday😉)

Today feels especially close to my heart…

🎉 I share my birthday with Louise Brown – the very first IVF baby, born on this day in 1978.
👶 My own beautiful children are here thanks to IVF.
🧬 And I’m proud to say one of the pioneers of IVF, Robert Edwards, was born in my hometown Batley.

Every year on this day, I reflect with so much gratitude — for the science, the strength of the women who walk this path, and the power of hope.

As an acupuncturist, it’s my honour to support women at every stage of their fertility journey — gently, naturally, and with care 💜

❤️ Why I Don’t Share Positive Pregnancy Stories ❤️

You might notice I don’t post about pregnancy announcements or IVF success stories — and that’s a conscious choice.

I work closely with women navigating some of the hardest moments of their fertility journeys: recurrent loss, failed IVF cycles, unexplained infertility, and the quiet heartbreak that often goes unseen.

While I celebrate every step forward with my clients privately, I also hold space for those still in the thick of it — those for whom a scan photo or good news story can feel like a fresh wave of grief.

This is a place where your experience — however messy, painful, or complicated — is valid and met with care.

If you’re here and still waiting, still hoping: you are not alone. I’ve been there and I’m walking beside you.
