Do you eat mushrooms?

🍄 We’ve known for a long time that mushrooms are good for our physical health. They support immune function and can help fight cancer and slow aging, among many other benefits.

💚 We’re now discovering that mushrooms can also help alleviate depression and anxiety, and can even reduce symptoms of PTSD and help recovery from addiction.

Can common button mushrooms and traditional adaptogens help us to live happier, more fulfilled lives? 👉 Learn what the research says about mushrooms for mental health: https://frn.co/3ymsOtT

Our mindset is something which we can work on to improve our outlook on life and therefore our mental health and well-being.

As a positive soul, every cloud has a silver lining, but sometimes when we are in the thick of it (and in cases even years later) we can't always see the positive.

It is proven that by adding gratitude into your life you can reset the social comparisons which we unconsciously picking up from TV and social media.

I never w**d, I harvest 😜

I live dandelions and use them regularly. They are edible and medicinal and great for wildlife. Let your lawns grow in may and fall in love with dandelions again x

The dandelion is the only flower that represents the 3 celestial bodies of the sun, moon and stars.

The yellow flower resembles the sun, the puff ball resembles the moon and the dispersing seeds resemble the stars.

The dandelion flower opens to greet the morning and closes in the evening to go to sleep.

Every part of the dandelion is useful: root, leaves, flower. It can be used for food, medicine and dye for colouring.

Up until the 1800s people would pull grass out of their lawns to make room for dandelions and other useful “w**ds” like chickw**d, malva, and chamomile.

The name dandelion is taken from the French word “dent de lion” meaning lion’s tooth, referring to the coarsely-toothed leaves.

Dandelions have one of the longest flowering seasons of any plant.
Seeds are often carried as many as 5 miles from their origin !

What's a nervine?

Herbalists often use this word, but what does it actually mean?

Let's break it down:

🍃Nervines are herbs that directly affect the nervous system.
🍃Generally people are referring to relaxant herbs when they say "nervine."
🍃But there are also stimulating nervines like coffee.

Lemon balm, pictured here, is a popular nervine that relaxes the nervous system, promotes deep sleep, and uplifts mood. Examples of other common nervines include catnip, lavender, and chamomile.

It's easy to harvest and freeze aloe vera gel. Use it on dry or burnt skin, or add it to food and drinks to soothe the digestive system.
