The main aim of a Postnatal Massage is to “mother the mother”.
Every care and consideration will be taken to make sure you are happy, comfortable and relaxed.
You are more than welcome to have your baby with you, they can be in their pushchair, carrier or can even lie next to you whilst you have your treatment.
As with any massage, your comfort is my top priority and all of these treatments can be done either lying on your front, back or side, and with multiple pillows and bolsters I can assure you, you will be comfortable.
The postnatal period is the first year of the baby's life, however both physical and emotional postnatal issues can last for many months or even years.
You can have a postnatal massage as soon as you would like after giving birth.
It doesn’t matter how you gave birth (vaginally, C-birth), you can have a massage, it just means there may be areas we can’t work on just yet.
For the first 6-12 weeks the treatments will be still softer on the legs, but more pressure can be applied to the upper back, neck and shoulders and also the head, face, hands and feet.
If you have had a c-birth we can’t massage your legs at all until 6 weeks after the birth due to increased risk of blood clots.
All of the treatments can be tailored to how you feel and what areas you would like to be treated, so each treatment is specific to you.
