Yesterday as part of our Premier League Primary Stars programme we delivered a series of "No Room For Racism" workshops, celebrating Black History Month at Macaulay Primary Academy on the topic of "Allyship".

As part of the workshops we had a very special visitor - GTFC’s Doug Tharme! ⚽

Doug spoke with pupils about the importance of allyship within a team and the wider community. Doug was also very impressed with the input from pupils regarding how they are good ally’s to each other, and their ability to recognise how to be a good ally.

GTACFC results

A fantastic day for our Premiership side going unbeaten all day while GTACFC enter a brand new team into the 4 tear of the Lincolnshire Ability Counts Football League with our team count now at 5!

Premiership Division

GTACFC Blacks 1 v 0 Boston United
GTACFC Blacks 3 v 1 Barton Inclusive
GTACFC Black 5 v 0 GTACFC White
Boston United 7 v 0 GTACFC White
Barton Inclusive 2 v 1 GTACFC white

GTACGC Black
After a shaken start to the season last tournament GTACFC had a full strength side out with a point to prove. The Blacks won every game dominating possession and being very clinical in from of goal. The title retention is back on.

GTACFC White
A difficult day for our newly promoted side from the Championship division with them loosing all 3 game they are facing a tough battle this season. Despite the results the team did create chances built just could not convert them. They should have won their game against Barton Inclusive, but Luck was just not on their side. Lots of positives to take from the day into the next tournament.

League 1 Division

Barton Inter 0–1 GTACFC Red
GTACFC Red 0–2 Bottesford Tow
Lincoln United 1–1 GTACFC Red
GTACFC 0–1 Barton Hull

GTACFC Red
Grimsby Town produced a spirited set of performances, opening with a disciplined win over Barton Inter before falling 2–0 to a clinical Bottesford side. They showed resilience to earn a 1–1 draw with Lincoln United and pushed hard in a narrow final defeat to Barton Hull. Finishing with one win, one draw, and two close losses, Grimsby impressed with strong defending and tidy link-up play but will look to be more ruthless in front of goal

League 2 Division

GTACFC Yellow 2-0 GTACFC Grey
Boston United 3-0 GTACFC Grey
GTACFC Gary 2-1 v Bottesford Town
GTACFC Grey1-1 Lincoln United
GTACFC Yellow 0 v 1 Lincoln United
GTACFC Yellow 2 v o Boston United
GTACFC Yellow 2 v 0 Bottesford Town

GTACFC Grey
Our team showed great determination earning a well deserved 2-1 win and a hard fought 1-1 draw. However we did suffer a 2-0 and 3-0 defeat to strong opposition. We created plenty of chances in every match and earned valuable experience that will help us tighten up the defence.

GTACFC Yellow
This Sunday marked the beginning for Grimsby Town Ability Counts Yellow. After a nervy start in the first game against Lincoln United, the Yellows edged a narrow 0-1 deafeat to Lincoln United. In the teams’ second game they looked for redemption against our other Grimsby Town side in an all Grimsby tie. The game finished 2-0 to the Yellows. This sparked a great run which saw the Yellows victorious in their next two games, finishing strongly beating both Bottersford Town and Boston United 2-0 to end the day with Three wins and one loss for the Yellows. This ended a brilliant day with team spirit and cohesion sky-high.
