Dr Barbara Oneal believes that there are 2 approaches to healing. One is based on faith: choosing to believe we were created in God's image with bodies designed to heal themselves, sometimes with the help of herbs.
But there's another belief. The belief that we evolved and cannot heal ourselves. This system relies on drugs that mask problems instead of resolving them.
I am inclined to agree with her opinions, what do you think ?
Here are some of the fear-based solutions for people struggling with heart disease: Fat-free or low-fat diets. Since the belief is that all fat is bad and fats raise "bad" cholesterol (more on that below!)
Blood thinners like aspirin, which is linked to dangerous side effects such as stomach bleed, brain bleed, and eye bleeds.
Statin drugs, commonly prescribed to lower cholesterol, but these inhibit the liver’s production of Coenzyme Q10, a critical heart-protective enzyme. Ironically, this increases the risk of heart disease.
The truth about cholesterol
Cholesterol is not the enemy. The liver creates it, using 80% glucose and 20% fat, and there are two types:
HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein): Known as the “good” cholesterol, since it carries cholesterol back to the liver.
LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein): Wrongly labeled the “bad” cholesterol. In reality, LDL repairs damaged blood vessels and delivers cholesterol to the brain, which thrives on it (the brain is 70% fat!).
The reason why LDL is labeled "bad" is because it attaches to the "holes" in the blood vessels and repairs them. That does not clog the blood vessels.
The real issue is excess glucose, often from diets high in sugar and modern wheat. This glucose binds with proteins, creating a sticky substance that damages arteries and contributes to buildup.
Blaming cholesterol for heart disease is like blaming fire trucks for fires!
