We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who donated towards our residents and staff WAOC. Everyone did a fantastic job with their steps last month, we are so thrilled. Thanks to everyone's help we managed to raise £280.00 +£55.00 Gift Aid for Cancer Research! Thank you ❤️

Our residents and staff started taking part in raising funds for cancer research on Saturday 1st March, as part of the 'walk all over cancer month'. One resident and one member of staff will walk a combined total of at least 10,000 steps every day throughout March. Our goal of funds to raise was £150.00 and so far we have exceeded this and raised £230.00 (+£42.50 gift aid). Any money raised would be much appreciated. We held a fundraising event called 'Time for a cuppa' on Wednesday 24th May 2023 in aid of Dementia UK. WHAT A TURN OUT WE HAD! With the combined donations from residents, their families and staff we raised a total of £400.00 for Dementia UK from our cake sale and raffle. We would just like to say a big thank you to all those who attended. Your support means a great deal to us and is very much appreciated!

DUCKLINGS PENDING!

Many of you will recall that we helped a farm from the South West hatch ducklings last Easter. It was such a wonderful experience for our residents and staff so we decided to make it an annual Alvony Easter tradition.
Duckling Day has finally come today. Shortly after 11am we had our 6 lovely eggs arrive for incubating, 3 have already starting breaking through. We will be home to these ducklings for the next 10 days, until they are picked up and returned to the farm on Good Friday. It's safe to say that we are all very much excited here at Alvony House! 🐤🐣🐥

We used to hold a tea dance monthly many moons ago, prior to COVID. After much discussion we decided that we would try it again. To say it was a success was an understatement. Everyone loved it!
