Trikonasana is a beautiful open pelvic yoga pose that holds a powerful combination of strength, flexibility, and balance. It creates space through the hips, length in the side body, and steadiness in the legs all at once. Using the block isn’t changing the pose… it can help to keep your spine lengthened and aligned with your front leg.

Props aren’t cheating… they’re wisdom 🧘‍♀️

If you’ve ever hesitated to grab a block or a strap in yoga, you’re not alone. Most of us start out thinking props are for “beginners”… but really, props are for everyone.

They’re not there to make the pose easier or harder, they’re there to make it accessible. To meet your body where it is today (not where it was yesterday, or where Instagram thinks it should be 😄).

A block might bring the floor closer. A strap might create space. A bolster might invite you to actually rest. And sometimes, props help us understand a posture more deeply, giving us access to the body in ways we simply wouldn’t have otherwise.

In other words, props don’t take away from your practice… they support it.
And honestly, sometimes the most “advanced” thing you can do is use them 🧘

Feeling a bit floaty before the full moon? 🌕

In the days surrounding the full moon, energy tends to build, and that can leave us feeling a little less grounded, a bit more “in our heads,” or just generally wobbly.

If that sounds familiar, try a few breaths in Malasana (Yogi Squat).

It activates the Root (Muladhara) chakra, supporting feelings of stability and emotional grounding. It also engages the lower body and stimulates the downward flow of energy which helps us feel steady and settled.
In other words… it’s a simple way to come back down to earth when life feels like it has other ideas ♥️

Did you ever notice how around the full moon things can feel a bit… louder? Emotions, energy, sleep, everything just slightly more on than usual?
In traditional Ashtanga yoga, Yoga Asana is actually not practiced on full moon or new moon days. It’s seen as a natural pause; a chance to rest, reflect, and not take your yoga (or yourself) quite so seriously for a day.
So if you’re feeling it… blame the Moon, not your inbox ;)

Why am I so wobbly?! 😄

If your balance feels a bit all over the place in yoga… you’re not doing it wrong.

Balance isn’t about being perfectly still... it’s a constant conversation between your body, your breath, and your focus.

Those little wobbles? That’s your nervous system learning, adjusting, and getting stronger.

In fact, wobbling is good for your balance. It’s how your body learns to react to instability and keep you upright.

Some days you’ll feel steady, other days not so much (sleep, stress, even the moon can have a say 🌕).

The real practice isn’t stopping the wobble… it’s how you respond to it. Can you breathe? Stay soft? Maybe even smile?

That’s the balance we’re really practising 🧘
