The culprit has been found and repaired! From tomorrow we should be running a limited clinic with reception and one treatment room. Everything downstairs will have to be dried out and rebuilt so the gym and Xray room as well as Max’s treatment room will be out of use for some time. Max will use Hugh’s room when he is with us on Wednesdays in the afternoon and Friday in the morning until his room is refurbished. The phones are back up again. Samantha will be there to take your calls from 8am and Helen will be on duty in the afternoon. We will call all the people who were in touch today when we get to the clinic tomorrow.

It appears our main water supply sprung a leak over the weekend and we have had 12 000 litres of water pumped out of the clinic. We have no water, phone lines or internet so the clinic is closed today. Sorry for the inconvenience while we try to get things up and running again.

We are very please to see that Dr Max Bento, our new chiropractor, who will be joining this practice next week has received this scholarship. It is particularly meaningful as Brian Gwilliam, in whose name the scholarship is awarded each year was the chiropractor Hugh worked for from 1987 to 1990 three days a week in Shropshire while he was getting his own practice going in Bristol. He gave Hugh the best start in practice for which one could have hoped. As a student himself, Brian was taught by B. J. Palmer in Davenport, Iowa. B. J. Palmer was the son of the original chiropractor, D. D. Palmer who founded the chiropractic profession in 1895.

This year’s winner of the Brian Gwilliam Memorial Scholarship is Dr Max Bento. He was selected from an extremely strong group of contenders and should be congratulated on his achievement. 🎉 🙌
