💛 WHAT OIL SHOULD I USE TO MASSAGE MY BABY? 💛
A common question - and something covered in my Baby Massage Course - is what oil should I use to massage my baby.
These days there are so many products on the shelves, each marketed to parents as the 'must have' thing for their babies. It's a minefield of choice!
When it comes to baby massage oils, there is no single product or brand that is 'the one' to use. Rather, the recommendation is simply to use an organic, plant-based oil, as opposed to a manufactured or mineral oil.
Plant-based oils are safe for our bodies to consume and process and are packed with lots of benefits for our skin and bodies. And you can rest assured that if your baby happens to lick some off their own or your skin, it's not at all harmful to their system.
In my courses, I use 100% organic sunflower oil, but there are many other oil types available too, such as coconut, grapeseed, apricot kernal, etc.
A simple checklist to help you source your oil:
💛 Plant based - from a natural source ie. Sunflower, coconut, etc
💛 100% organic cold pressed - this harvesting method keeps the nutrient properties of the oil intact
💛 No other added ingredients - with the exception of naturally occuring vitamins, such as Vitamin E which is commonly found in a lot of 'off the shelf' baby massage oils
💛 No added fragrances - to allow baby to smell you and maintain that strong connection during massage
💛 Health food shops are an excellent place to find suitable oils

Happy massaging! 🙏🏻
