Not long now before you'll be able relax, breathe deeply and allow your body and mind to free itself with The Good Hour Massage.

More than ever, when connections have been scaled right back and touch at times has been pretty much scarce - we're all going to need something to help us through what has been a difficult few months, emotionally. That something, of course - might be massage therapy.

There's bound to be a few tears on my table when I open my doors again, but that's alright. An announcement will be made this week about when massage therapists will be able to start work again.

I don't really have much to offer at this difficult time but all I can say is that Yoga with Adriene, P.E with Joe Wicks (yep, I have been bouncing around my flat like a kangaroo!) and Radio 4 are keeping me sane! I've started listening to podcasts too. This TED Talk has really helped me today. Listen if you can. https://bit.ly/2QMbWqm

As it says on the tin I'm offering £10 off your first Good Hour Massage when you book by the end of the month.

That means you only pay £30 for one hour of pure relaxation.

Carolyn sums up 'holistic massage' really well. However, the word 'holistic' with 'massage' can sometimes be perceived as woolly at times. So, what exactly is holistic massage?

It's essentially a creative process of touch and response between me (the practitioner) and you (the client). You could call it 'wholistic' massage as I'm bringing the 'whole' of myself to the massage and working with the 'whole' of you - whether that's your physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual needs. Together, we'll always plan a massage that will help you to feel relaxed, restored and ready to take on the world once again.

And, yes - holistic massage can also include deeper massage if that's what you want. It's also good to remember 'deep' can mean many things to different people.

Had a little mention in this month, which I'm a tad pleased about. In my former life I'd be generating coverage like this for other organisations – now I'm in the limelight!

Thanks for thinking of me and including . It's a great article on sleep and definitely worth a read. Full article here: https://bit.ly/2Fm384g

New gift vouchers just in, in time for crimbo.

Instead of buying pointless crap for your friends and family this xmas, gift them an experience.

Gift them this – The Good Hour Massage.

Remember, a massage shouldn't just be (a one-off) for Christmas, but should be (booked in, regularly, about every four weeks) for life!

Treat someone you love to an hour of pure relaxation massage. Digital and printed vouchers available. All valid for up to six months.

I just bumped into a lovely lady who lives in the same block of flats as me.

We keep bumping into each other. Whether it's nearby or somewhere really random elsewhere in Bristol. I walked away thinking how funny it is, but also how important connections are. Especially at this time of year.

I've never felt more connected to a place than I have done with Bristol. I'm from the New Forest originally and lived in London for just under a decade. But I've never felt like I have with this place. It feels like home.

Community is such a big part of my life now, and I include in that all of the wonderful people who I have met since I've been a massage therapist. From fellow massage therapists, local yoga teachers, busy mums, office workers, handy people, writers, teachers, lawyers, neighbours...the list goes on.

This year has definitely been about learning to recognise those connections and enjoying them, however small they are.

How do you define connection? If you've yet to discover Brené Brown, check her out. She talks about it a lot.

If you come for The Good Hour Massage you might meet my best friend, Beau.

She's a cavapoo (half Toy Poodle, half King Charles Cavalier) I swear I should get a t-shirt with this written on. I get asked 'aww, what is she?' approx 2 to 3 times a day!

And, what's so sweet is that her mum (pure King Charles Cavalier) and dad (pure Toy Poodle) live together as a couple. They're called Nugget and Willow.

And yes, this is probably how you'll end up looking/feeling after a holistic massage with me.

Beau is bound to feature quite heavily on here. Beware...

It's those little things we do that have the biggest impact.
