🔹 All had complex medical needs

And yet, trauma history is rarely asked about in mainstream care.

NCIM HEALTH TIPS: HORMONE HEALTH 🏃🍓🌞💞🧘‍♀️🌿

🧠 8 Ways to Keep Your Hormones Healthy 🧠

Hormonal health isn’t just about supplements and sleep. Here are some strategies that support your body’s natural balance 👇

💡 Use red light at night. Exposure to red or near-infrared light in the evening can support melatonin production and balance cortisol. Replace evening screen time or bright lights with red light therapy or low-lux red bulbs.

🥬 Add a small serving of bitter greens or digestive bitters before meals to stimulate liver detoxification and bile flow, helping metabolise excess oestrogen.

👃 Nasal Breathing During Sleep. Mouth breathing can increase cortisol and decrease nitric oxide, harming hormonal balance. Try mouth taping (with safe, breathable tape) during sleep to encourage nasal breathing.

🧘‍♀️Prioritise Hip Mobility. The lymphatic system and reproductive organs are influenced by pelvic circulation and movement. Add deep squats, hip circles, or yin yoga for the hips daily to improve oestrogen detox and hormone flow.

🌑 Sleep in Total Darkness. Even small amounts of light during sleep (like from chargers or streetlights) can suppress melatonin and disrupt the endocrine system. Use blackout curtains, cover LEDs, or wear a sleep mask.

🪥 Dry Brushing. Stimulates the lymphatic system, aiding in the removal of hormone metabolites and reducing oestrogen dominance. Before showering, gently brush your skin toward your heart for 3–5 minutes.

🌿Grounding (Earthing) Walking barefoot on grass or soil may reduce cortisol levels and improve circadian rhythms by syncing with the Earth's electrons.

📆Track your Infradian Rhythm Tracking (for Women). Aligning activity, stress, and nutrition with your menstrual phases optimises hormones.

Hormones are sensitive messengers. Small daily habits = big hormonal shifts. For more tips and healthcare articles sign up to our weekly newsletter: Integrative Health Matters.🔗 IN BIO.
