Genealogy and Probate Research Services
Tracing your ancestry can be very time consuming and expensive. A quick ‘surf’ of the internet and you will soon find that gathering information about your own family is a very ‘hit and miss’ affair and almost all of the ‘FREE’ genealogy sites will not confirm the authenticity of any information on offer. Our fees to undertake Ancestral research are:
(1). An hourly rate of £15 to cover the cost of the time undertaken to research your family ancestry and produce a final report on completion of the research
(2). Cost of all Birth, Marriage and Death certificates purchased to substantiate the research information
(3).Travel expenses of 13.9 pence per mile
To research ONE surname line of a family ancestry (such as a father's surname or a mother's maiden surname) we require an initial deposit of £180. To research BOTH parental lines, a deposit of £280 is required. The deposit will form part of the final total cost of the service. If the final cost of the service provided is less than the deposit already paid, a refund of the outstanding balance will be returned to the customer
We will provide you with a Questionnaire and would ask you to complete with details of the person you want researched. At the same time, we will send you our services contract which we would be grateful if you can sign and date and return to us in the envelope provided together with your initial deposit. Research will not begin until the signed contract and deposit is received. On receipt of your payment we will send you an acknowledgment of payment. We estimate that the work could take up to three months to complete depending on how easy or difficult it is to locate your ancestors. However, we will provide you with a progress report every two weeks. On completion of our research, you will be informed when the documentation is ready for dispatch and a request for final payment will be issued. When we are in receipt of the final payment, the documentation will be dispatched via recorded delivery to the client’s address. This will be dispatched within six business days of receiving the final payment. All of our findings will be backed-up by original documents and you will receive a comprehensive written report on completion
