✅ Network Restored – We're Back to Normal! ✅

We’re pleased to let you know that the recent IT outage has now been resolved, and our systems are fully restored.

📂 We now have full access to patient records
📞 Appointments and services are running as normal

A huge thank you to our IT providers and engineers for their intense efforts to fix this issue so quickly 👏

And of course, thank you to all our patients for your patience and support during the disruption 💙

🚨 Important Notice for Our Patients 🚨

We are still affected by a major IT outage that is impacting 20,000 circuits, 25 GP practices and 8 of those in Derbyshire.

Unfortunately, our practice is one of those affected.

To give you a sense of the scale: over 100 engineers are working to resolve the issue. However, it’s still a significant problem and not expected to be resolved overnight or tomorrow.

🔹 We are still open, but we’ve had to make changes to stay safe:

Without access to full patient records, it is not safe to carry out all services as normal.

If you already have an appointment booked, you may be contacted to rearrange or offered a telephone consultation instead.

If you don’t hear from us, please assume your appointment is going ahead as planned.

If you are trying to book a new appointment:

Same-day appointments are very limited

You may be advised to contact a pharmacy, call NHS 111, or attend A&E if your condition is urgent

🙏 We understand this is frustrating, but please bear with us.

This is completely out of our control, and we are doing all we can to keep everyone safe while providing care.

📢 Service Update

We are still experiencing a network outage. The issue has been identified — a third party has accidentally damaged multiple fibre cables (definitely not a job anyone wants to be responsible for!).

Repairs are currently underway, and our service provider, NECS, is working hard to restore services as quickly as possible.

💜 BRAVE THE SHAVE – Cheryl’s Big Moment! 💜

We’re beyond proud of our wonderful receptionist Cheryl, who will be Braving the Shave on Tuesday 29th July at 2:00 PM at The Springs – and you’re all invited to support her! 🎉✂️

Cheryl is doing something truly incredible – she’s shaving her head to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and donating her beautiful hair to the Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children who’ve lost their hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. 💚💇‍♀️👑

📢 Mounjaro for Weight Management – Important Information

The NHS in Derbyshire is planning to make Mounjaro, a weight loss injection, available later this year for individuals who meet strict eligibility criteria.

➡️ Please do not contact us about Mounjaro at this stage – it is not currently available in Derby and Derbyshire.

🔍 Local clinics are being set up by the Integrated Care Board (ICB) in areas with the greatest need. When Mounjaro does become available, only those who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered.

✅ To qualify, you must:

Have a BMI over 40

AND be diagnosed with at least four of the following conditions:

Type 2 Diabetes

High Blood Pressure

Heart Disease

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea

Dyslipidaemia (abnormal blood fats)
