***Starting on Thursday 20th April at Coalville CAN***
Good Grief Gathering is a peer-to-peer support group that gives a safe space for those experiencing grief to talk to others who understand and won’t pass judgment.
Grief can still be somewhat of a taboo in our society.
It makes people uncomfortable as they do not know what to say to someone, they worry about making the situation worse or it makes them think about their own mortality. These lead to grief being left unspoken about.
Bottling up these huge emotions can lead to a decline in a persons mental health.
Here at Good Grief Gathering, you will have space to be around others who can relate. You have the freedom to talk, discuss coping mechanisms, to cry, to channel your emotions into art or to just sit with a hot drink and be in the moment.
The groups will run every Thursday from 12:30 – 14:30 at Coalville CAN. Your first session is free and after that it is £2.50 a session. This can be paid by direct debit. The cost also includes hot drinks and biscuits.
