Can you spot the difference between photo A & B??

To the geniuses out there the only difference is one is red and the other is not! Why you may ask!?

The point I am trying to make is about how, as osteos we can describe the same thing and take our patients down two different routes -
Pic A - normal, happy looking foot, possibly a low grade muscle strain, should heal up soon.
Pic B - angry, painful, damaged, not right, may never heal properly.

The words used to describe pic B are negative and can instill fear and anxiety in patients. These responses can actively slow down our healing response and increase pain perception.

What we say and how we say it is very important in helping educate patients on whats happening with an injury and to reduce fear and anxiety.

The Four Health Osteopathy clinic has been well established in Cobham for a number of years now with a great reputation. We have osteopaths, physiotherapists and massage therapists working here and are looking for practitioners in the local area looking to take on clinic space but that are also keen on being part of a team. We’ll be running CPD discussion groups if you’re interested in joining in and regularly cross refer.
The clinic rooms are spacious and bright. We have a kitchen, waiting area and separate entrance and also access to the gym on the ground floor. There is currently a variety of hours during the week available and special rates on weekends.

Big news!!!

Osteopath+Pilates instructor = Lucy 💪🏻

As of tomorrow our new osteopath Lucy Anderson will be seeing patients at the clinic in Cobham.
Lucy has a number of years experience having worked in some very well regarded clinics and is also a highly qualified Pilates instructor. This will be invaluable to patients needing a structured rehab/strengthening program as part of their treatment.
