If your next HbA1c test is playing on your mind, hear this.

You do not need perfection. You need a plan you can repeat.

Small, consistent changes in the kitchen can support steadier blood sugar over time. Not guilt. Not another restart on Monday.

Pick one meal today and keep it simple:
🍗 Protein first.
🥦 Non-starchy veg.
🥑 Add healthy fats so you actually stay full.

Then do the same tomorrow.

If you want an easy place to start, grab my free Kitchen Staples guide. It’s the foods I recommend keeping in so you can build blood sugar-friendly meals without overthinking it.

Lemon chicken is one of those “looks fancy, actually easy” dinners you can pull off on a weeknight.

Save for later:

🍋 Season chicken with salt and pepper.
🍋 Sear in a hot pan with olive oil for about 5 minutes per side. Don’t keep moving it around.
🍋 Take it out and keep it warm under foil.
🍋 In the same pan, cook garlic + thyme for 1 minute, then add a splash of white wine and let it reduce.
🍋 Add chicken stock + a little Dijon, then stir in butter and simmer for a couple of minutes.
🍋 Add the chicken back in with capers and lemon slices, and cook until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through.
🍋 Finish with chopped parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.

Protein first, plus a proper sauce, is a solid combo for staying satisfied and keeping things steadier.

If you want the full framework for eating to support better blood sugar and HbA1c, my free masterclass Tuesday at 7pm (UK time).

One of the biggest reasons people stay stuck is they are trying to “eat better” without knowing what actually spikes their blood sugar.

During my FREE 5 Day Blood Sugar Challenge (12-16th January), I’ll show you how to test in a way that makes sense, so you can stop guessing and start making confident food choices.

Because when you can see what’s happening in real time, everything changes.

Wishing you a fun New Year’s Eve and a hopeful start to the year ahead.

If you’re celebrating tonight, enjoy it in a way that feels good for your body as well as your heart. A little sparkle doesn’t have to mean a blood sugar rollercoaster — a glass of bubbly, a homemade mocktail or even a simple sparkling water with lime and ginger can still feel special.

Here’s to a year of small choices that add up, confidence that builds with time, and health that feels increasingly steady and in your hands.

Happy New Year — may the next chapter be kinder, calmer and full of good things.
