Yoga with Uzma Qualified Yoga Therapist based in Weybridge. I also teach yoga in Cobham & Weybridge. Private 1-2-1 lessons available.

All elements of yoga help you obtain a sense of wellbeing. The postures (asanas) help with flexibility, stamina and building physical strength whilst toning the body and massaging the internal organs. The breathing techniques (pranayama) improves all the body systems by bringing oxygenated blood to all the muscles, energising the body and keeping you in a vibrant healthy state of body and mind. Th

e relaxation and meditation helps with releasing the tension and allowing the mind to quieten and relax bringing inner peace. By reducing stress, yoga enhances and improves the immune system. These flowing classes are suitable for beginners and improvers. It will help develop strength, flexibility and balance, incorporating some dynamic posture work and gentle long-held asana’s and deep relaxation.

ONE LAST SPACE REMAINING FOR THIS SATURDAY!
There is a deep connection between spiritual health and mother nature! Bringing my two passions of Yoga and Nordic Walking together Vicky and I have created a Wellness Day Retreat in the beautiful Surrey Hills on Saturday 22nd March 2025.

We'll start the day with a Yoga workshop to welcome the Spring, followed by a nutritious lunch. We'll then head out for Nordic Walking in the stunning Surrey Hills (Nordic Walking poles and a short tuition on how to use the poles will be provided) before we head off for a walk. We'll come back for a cup of tea with a selection of cakes and biscuits.

The Wellness Day Journey Will Include:
✨ Detoxifying Yoga Workshop: Begin your day with a two-hour yoga session (suitable for everybody) to detoxify the body and the mind. Enjoy guided pranayama (breath work) and a meditation focused on releasing the old and welcoming the new.
🥗 Vegetarian Lunch and Connection Time: Refuel with a delicious lunch and take time to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for wellness.
🚶‍♀️ Nordic Walking Experience: Try a Nordic Walking Taster training session with Vicky (Nordic Walking Poles will be provided), then head out for a gentle yet invigorating walk through the breathtaking Surrey Hills.

Went to the Therapy Garden today to make arrangements for our Wellness Retreat Day there on the 14th September, and picked up some very fresh produce which is grown there. Couldn’t wait to get home and cook the courgette. It was a yummy lunch 😋

We’ll start with a taster session in how to Nordic Walk with Vicky from Surrey Striders. Using the poles provided you will learn how this fantastic exercise turns every walk into a workout. After learning the basics Vicky will lead you in a walk through the stunning countryside.
We’ll return for a Nourishing Vegetarian lunch, teas and coffee.
Followed by a rejuvenating Yoga session with Uzma.
Finishing the day with a simple Cacao Ceremony.
The day retreat will leave you feeling relaxed and restored.

About
Uzma has been teaching yoga for 13 years in group settings and private 1-2-1 sessions. Uzma is also a qualified Yoga Therapist and registered with CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) Uzma teaches a very traditional style of yoga with a lot of emphasis on the breath and mindfulness.

Vicky is a trained Nordic Walking Instructor and has been leading Nordic Walking groups for 7 year. Surrey striders runs 4 hikes a week of varying levels.
‘Nordic Walking uses 90% of major muscles and the correct technique and poles will help you target all of the major upper and lower body muscles with every step. This in turn improves posture, body tone and speeds up metabolism. Great all round fitness with fast results’. NWUK
