We have a number of save the dates for upcoming events at Silvermere 🗓

We welcome you to join us for our Halloween Tea Party on October 31st 2:30pm - 4:30pm - costumes encouraged! 🧛‍♂️

We are now selling poppies ahead of Remembrance Sunday on Sunday November 9th and these can be found in Reception 🌺

Our Christmas Fair on Saturday 6th December will provide the perfect opportunity to do some festive shopping from a range of stall holders, and we will be raising money for Alzheimer's Society and Princess Alice Hospice 🎅

And there will be no better way to start the New Year than our Pantomime as Dick Whittington comes to Silvermere on Saturday 3rd January at 13:45 🎭

✨ Diwali Celebration at Silvermere! ✨

Our residents and staff had a wonderful time celebrating the Festival of Lights together! 🌟
We enjoyed delicious Indian food, lively music, some fun armchair travel, and beautiful dancing by an incredible Indian performer. 💃🎶

It was a joyful day filled with colour, laughter, and togetherness ,a true reflection of the Diwali spirit! 🪔❤️

At Silvermere, we love celebrating the incredible lives of our residents - and Douglas is no exception.

A proud former goalkeeper for Manchester Boys feeding to Manchester City between 1957 and 1960, Douglas still follows his beloved club with unwavering passion.

To mark his birthday on October 17, we were delighted to help organise a special surprise - a feature in the club's official match day programme for their game against Everton.

From the pitch to the programme, Douglas continues to inspire us all.

The launch of the Adopt A Grandparent programme at Silvermere Care Home was a heartwarming success, marked by a touching first conversation between resident Peter and volunteer Jing.

This initiative, designed to combat loneliness and foster intergenerational friendships, has already begun to create meaningful connections within our community and Avery Healthcare residents beyond Silvermere.

Inspired by the charity’s mission to pair volunteers with older adults based on shared interests, Silvermere is proud to be part of a movement that began in Surrey and has grown into a global campaign.

Peter and Jing’s exchange was filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine curiosity—setting the tone for many more enriching conversations to come.

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”
