Happy New Year all!!!
MOVE - Walk, weights, run, yoga, walk some more, pilates… whatever feels good to you. Just don’t sit on your arse saying you can’t do anything! You hate gyms… not flexible enough for yoga etc. Go for a walk in the woods, breathe, be in nature 🤷🏽♂️ win, win, win 🤷🏽♂️ Basically enough with the lame excuses. You don’t need to go to the gym 5 times a week to be fit and healthy! Just go what you can.
BREATHE - Get outside and breathe in some fresh air! Take 2 mins in the morning to take 10 deep breaths!! Do the same in the evening before bed.
EAT A HEALTHY WELL BALANCED DIET - You can’t out train a bad diet! And you can’t maintain a unrealistically restrictive diet. And why would you want to? Some of the popular restrictive diets are not only causing long term health issues but also starting to border on eating disorders! Enjoy food, but get the right balance of nutrients from a varied plate. And try not constantly over indulge. If you do… the next meal is another chance to nourish your body.
DRINK WATER - just stay hydrated 🤷🏽♂️
SLEEP!!
Everyone always has big plans for getting fit… gonna go to the gym 5 times a week, gonna eat chicken breast and broccoli blah blah blah… then realise they can’t fit it all in… and life basically sucks!! So they give up and do nothing at all till next January 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Everyday day is a new chance to start!!
Every moment is a chance to make different choices… should I walk 20 mins to the shops?? Or call Deliveroo 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ Shall I eat a jam filled doughnut or a bowl of berries 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ shall I read a book on nutrition from a respected author or scroll tik tok for hours getting nutritional advice from unqualified idiots with no tops on and eat raw bulls testicles 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ I mean 🤔
