We are GP’s with Extended Roles. That means we take care of your minor surgery, dermatology and ophthalmology needs right here in the community without you needing a hospital visit.

Our goal at Cumbria Medical Services (CMS) is to improve healthcare in Cumbria by bridging the gap between your local GP and hospital based care. We offer our services at various locations throughout Cumbria utilising the excellent facilities of our community hospitals and GP surgeries.

Our approach to service delivery in the community keeps waiting times down and mostly we will see you within six weeks of your referral. Its handy for us, it’s good for the NHS and its why over 90% of GPs across North Cumbria refer their patients to us.
