Naming a business is a special kind of torture.
Seriously. Trying to find two or three words that communicate everything I’ve learned in 18 years of movement and clinical therapy is… well, it was soooo hard.
I’ve spent weeks banging my head against the keyboard. I’m pretty sure even Gemini (my AI helper) got bored of me. I could almost hear its digital eyes rolling every time I asked, "Okay, but what about THIS one?" I had to get clearer and clearer on my own vision. I had to find something that didn't make me cringe (which, let’s be honest, is a high bar).
Eventually, I landed on Mend & Extend. And yeah, I gotta love a bit of alliteration.
But it actually fits.
Whether you’re sitting in a therapy chair or stretching out on a yoga mat, the goals are usually the same:
Mend: Fixing the bits that feel broken, burnt out, or just tired. It’s about the repair work we all need sometimes just to find our feet.
Extend: What happens once you’ve done the mending. It’s about reaching a bit further, growing a bit stronger, and seeing what else you’re actually capable of.
It applies to your hamstrings just as much as it applies to your head. It applies to your soul as much as the soles of your feet. I really believe that. It's my bread and butter, everyday.
I’ve spent 8 months "mending" this space (mostly by removing layers of dust and changing plenty that was 'fine' but not 'good enough') and I’m just about ready for the "extending" part to start.
The waitlist is live now—link is in the comments if you want to join the "sanctuary" before the doors officially swing open.
