The foundation of our service is a person-centred approach; treating each client with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion at all times whilst delivering the highest quality personal care. We strongly believe that to achieve maximum independence, quality of life and enablement, we must first allow our clients to choose the life they want to live. Our primary role is to advise and support their choices whilst ensuring their needs are being fulfilled. Each person is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all, which is why Hayward Community Care can tailor all of our services to meet the exact needs and requirements of each client. This way we can enable a life of personal choice that is as unique as the person themselves.

Today has been both physically and mentally draining, but we are so proud of ourselves. Along the way there were plenty of laughs, some truly terrible singing to keep the spirits up, and even a few tears at the finish line.
In total, we didn’t just do 26… not even 28… but 29.5 miles! 👣✨

- Fantastic Pay: Earn £12.80 per hour on weekdays and £13.00 per hour on weekends. 🤩
- Paid Travel Time and Waiting Time: Get paid for travel between calls with gaps less than 30 minutes.
- Mileage Reimbursement: We pay 20p per mile between calls, and you can claim the rest back (up to 45p) from HMRC at the end of the financial year! 🚗💰

We are now in the final run up to the 26-mile hike that our very own Lucy (Care Service Manager), Sara (Living Service Manager), Rob (Befriending Coordinator), Bobbie (Befriender), and Alex will be taking on!

On Saturday 23rd August, they’ll be setting out across the beautiful Peak District for a full day of walking, teamwork, and plenty of determination.

There may be a few sore feet, tired legs, and blisters along the way – but there will also be plenty of laughs, stunning views, and a huge sense of achievement at the finish line.

This is their final push to reach their fundraising target, so any donation big or small would mean the world and help spur them on each step of the way.

We’ll do our best to share updates throughout the day and, of course, let you know when we’ve all survived to tell the tale!
