🎉 Naomi Completes Trek26! 🎉

We’re so proud to share that our clinic owner and lead Podiatrist, Naomi, has successfully completed Trek26—a 26-mile walk through the stunning (and very hilly!) Cotswolds in support of the Alzheimer’s Society 💜

Naomi took on the challenge in just one day and absolutely smashed her fundraising target, raising an amazing £701—more than double her original goal of £300! 🙌

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of her family, friends, and our wonderful patients—thank you all so much! Every penny will help make a difference to those affected by Alzheimer’s.

With the warmer months here, your feet are likely spending more time out in the open—whether it’s at the beach, in sandals, or on long walks. Here are a few essential tips from our podiatry team to keep your feet healthy all summer long:

✅ Stay Hydrated: It helps reduce swelling and keeps your skin supple.
✅ Sunscreen for Your Feet: Don’t forget to protect the tops of your feet from sunburn!
✅ Keep Feet Dry: Change out of wet socks or shoes quickly to avoid fungal infections.
✅ Supportive Footwear: Flip-flops are fun but don’t wear them all day. Opt for sandals with arch support.
✅ Moisturise Regularly: Hot weather and open shoes can dry out your heels—apply foot cream daily to keep them soft and crack-free.
🚫 Avoid Going Barefoot in Public Areas: This helps prevent picking up warts, athlete’s foot, and more.

Great post highlighting just how complex the development of children's feet is —and why choosing the right footwear matters so much.

At our clinic, we work closely with many paediatric patients and often talk to families about the role of proper footwear in healthy foot development. Children’s feet are still growing and changing well into their teens, and the right shoes can make a big difference in how they move, play, and grow.

The wrong footwear can contribute to:

Postural changes

Foot or leg discomfort

Long-term movement issues

When choosing shoes for your child, it helps to look for:

✅️A secure and comfortable fit

✅️Flexible soles that move with their feet

✅️Lightweight, breathable materials

✅️Enough space for growth—without being too roomy
