This Diabetes Week is all about shining a light on the important health checks that everyone with diabetes should be having, and why they matter so much.

Things like blood tests (HbA1c), blood pressure checks, kidney function tests, eye screenings, and foot checks might seem small, but they help catch problems early, before they turn into something more serious.

But the truth is, more than a third of people with diabetes arenโ€™t getting all these vital checks โ€” and there are lots of reasons why. Appointments can be hard to get, letters get missed, life gets busy, and sometimes people worry theyโ€™ll be judged.
