🎂 Brookwater House Care Home: Resident Audrey celebrated her 100th Birthday! 🥳 A beautiful celebration and a special letter from King Charles & Queen Camilla! 👑

🐾 Cofton Park Manor Care Home: Residents enjoyed cuddles with therapy dog Django - always a mood-lifter! 💖

🌸 Hindhead Place Care Home: A spontaneous visit to the Punchbowl after flower arranging - tea, laughter, and adventure all in one! 🥰

🌟 Celebrity Fun at Alston House Care Home 🌟

We loved seeing this story featured in the Daily Echo! Alston House Care Home in Eastleigh recently hosted a Stars in Their Eyes-themed evening, with staff dressing up as celebrity lookalikes for a night full of music, laughter, and fundraising.

Thanks to everyone who joined in, They raised a total of £330 for The Sophie Barringer Trust.

🐐 Templeton Place Care Home welcomed two adorable baby pygmy goats, Louis and Mooey - bringing smiles all around!

🚴‍♀️ Charrington Manor Care Home residents are pedalling with passion in the Road Worlds for Seniors Global Championships, showing true team spirit.

🎬 Abbots Wood Manor Care Home hosted their own Film Festival after resident Pat requested The Color Purple - complete with red carpet, fizz, and fabulous outfits!

🌷 Cofton Park Manor Care Home enjoyed a trip to Willowbrook Garden Centre - exploring spooky Halloween displays and picking beautiful plants.

🎤 Cambridge Grove Care Home danced the afternoon away with the wonderful Simon, aka Sunset Magic - always a crowd favourite!

📚 Edwalton Manor Care Home Book Club is thriving thanks to kind donations keeping residents turning the pages.

🎬 Cofton Park Manor Embraces Hollywood Glamour with 'Grease' Event! 🎬

We were thrilled to see our recent Grease-themed event featured in the Bromsgrove Advertiser! Our team and residents put on their best 1950s attire, transforming Cofton Park Manor into a dazzling display of Hollywood glamour. The evening was filled with music, laughter, and a strong sense of community.

What a great honor it was, to have a special guest with us today. 💁‍♂

Presenter of the daytime TV favourite, Flog It! Nick Davies made a special visit to spend some time with our Residents, to chat about his life in the antiques world. 🗣💬

Our Residents were captivated by his stories, adventures and interesting pieces of authentic items that he brought along. 💖

We are delighted to tell you that Nick will be coming back next month for a unique Valuations Event on Wednesday 19th November 2.30pm - 4pm. ✅

On Thursday 9th October, we’re marking World Mental Health Day with a special programme designed to support wellbeing and open conversations around mental health.

✨ What’s On:
🗣️ 11am – 1pm: Talk About Mental Health with Ben – an open and supportive session to share, learn, and reflect.
🎶 3pm: Relaxation Hour with Will from Quiet Note – experience the power of mindful music to restore calm and balance.

Everyone is welcome to join us for this meaningful day as we raise awareness, reduce stigma, and take time for self-care. 💜

It's Harvest Festival time!! 🍓🍒🍍

And we have been spreading our love to the Community for this year's Harvest Festival.

With the help of the amazing Asda Community Champion - Chrissy, Our wonderful Resident's & staff & visitors, we were honored to able to donate a tremendous amount of food to Holy Trinity Church based in Lickey Hills and St Stephens Church based in Rednal. ⛪⛪✝

These amazing donations will help lots of families in our local Community. 🍗🍌🍑

It’s been another week filled with joy, surprises, and special memories across our homes - here’s a little round-up of the wonderful moments we’ve shared:

💍 Lovell Place Care Home - LOVE was truly in the air as Richard and June celebrated 65 years of marriage! From a royal card from King Charles & Camilla, to cake, to a surprise wedding blessing in the very church they wed in, the day was nothing short of magical.

🚘 Alston House Care Home - Our Around the World: Tennessee Day brought an American classic to our door - a stunning 1958 Cadillac Coupe DeVille!

🌸 Chawley Grove Care Home - Had a pumpkin flower workshop that wowed residents!

☀️ Hindhead Place Care Home - Residents made the most of the sunshine with scenic walks - and a pocketful of dog treats to make new furry friends along the way!

🍽️ Cambridge Grove Care Home - Residents Bob and Felicity enjoyed a seniors’ lunch hosted by the Cambridge United Foundation, complete with delicious food, bingo, and activities.

🏌️ Montague House Care Home - Generations came together for golfing fun (and plenty of cake!) at Brampton Park Golf Club.

🛍️ Nesbit House Care Home - A trip to Polhill Garden Centre meant shopping, coffee, and an early peek at the Halloween treats!

🏆 Newton House Care Home - Huge congratulations to Team Newton, who returned from the Sporting Senior Games award ceremony with two bronze medals and a trophy! The smiles said it all - what a celebration of community, fun, and wellbeing.

🐴 Verwood House Care Home - Residents loved their visit to Hockey's Farm Shop, where animals big and small brought back fond memories - with relatives joining the fun too.

From classic cars to royal surprises, farmyard fun to sporting triumphs - what a week it’s been! Thank you to all our teams for making every day special ✨

On Friday 24th October, our team at Hamberley Care Homes Support Office will be proudly taking part in Wear It Pink in support of Breast Cancer Now. 🎀

Wear It Pink is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, bringing people together across the country to raise money during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From workplaces and schools to communities and care homes, thousands will be wearing pink to show their support. 💕

Every donation helps fund life-changing breast cancer research and provides vital support for those affected. Together, we can make a real difference. 🌸

🌍 Rounding up , we’re proud to celebrate Chin and Cynthia, our dedicated Dementia Champions at Nesbit House Care Home.

✨ Chin and Cynthia share:

“As Dementia Champions, our role is to support both staff and families in understanding dementia and how best to care for those living with it. We’ve organised workshops across all departments – from care and wellbeing to administration, housekeeping, and kitchen – helping colleagues gain confidence, empathy, and practical skills.

We also work closely with families, encouraging them to share questions and suggestions. By giving insight into the daily experiences of their loved ones, we aim to strengthen partnerships in care and ensure families feel supported and involved.

Looking ahead, we’re planning to expand our sessions – moving from informal conversations to structured workshops – so we can provide even more guidance and support to families as well as our wider team.”

💜 Chin and Cynthia’s commitment to education, family support, and creating a dementia-friendly community truly demonstrates the impact of Dementia Champions at Nesbit House.

Krystian has been part of Cofton Park Manor since the home first opened in January 2023, bringing with him over five years of experience in the care sector. As a Homemaker, he is known for his kind and caring nature, always taking time to listen, chat, and offer support, empathy, compassion – and a cuddle if needed.

He loves building strong bonds with residents and is always ready to get involved, whether it’s helping with activities, providing entertainment, or even joining residents on the dance floor. 💃✨

Krystian says: “It is very important to me to see that we are helping our residents maintain their independence and wellbeing by making a tangible and positive difference in their day-to-day lives. Every day is different, and I enjoy helping our residents because it gives me great satisfaction to know they are getting the best care possible.”

We are so grateful to have Krystian as part of our team, making every day brighter for residents, families, and colleagues alike. 💙

For over 14 years, Emilia has been a dedicated member of the team at Verwood House, bringing passion and commitment to making a positive difference every day.

She is especially proud of creating meaningful enrichment opportunities and activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing, while also supporting colleagues by guiding them on how best to engage residents in ways that spark joy. Emilia also plays an important role in supporting staff wellbeing, recognising the importance of mental health for the whole team.

As one of the Dementia Champions in the home, Emilia provides invaluable support to families, helping them better understand and care for loved ones living with dementia.

Her role is described as incredibly rewarding, and she is proud to be part of a team where the wellbeing of both residents and staff is at the heart of everything they do. 💜

🍴 Professional Care Workers Week Spotlight – Chawley Grove Care Home Kitchen Team 🍴

This week we’re shining a light on the incredible teams who make our homes so special – and today, it’s all about our Kitchen Team at Chawley Grove.

Led by Head Chef Steve, alongside Lloyd, Shibu, Kim and Georgiana, the team go above and beyond every day. From hearty homecooked meals and freshly baked treats in the bistro, to birthday cakes and resident cookery classes, they always bring passion, creativity and care to everything they do.

The quality and variety of their food is second to none – and they make mealtimes more than just a service, they make them an experience. If you’ve ever tried the chef’s famous sticky toffee pudding, you’ll know exactly what we mean!

Often working behind the scenes, the Kitchen Team don’t always get the recognition they deserve – so today we’re celebrating them for the huge role they play in creating joy, comfort, and togetherness at Chawley Grove. 💙
