This was our third harvest from the vegetable patch, and while the yield wasn't as abundant as in previous weeks, we still gathered a healthy amount. The runner beans, raspberries, and spring onions produced the most, providing us with a delightful bounty!!! However, we may have let the rhubarb grow a bit too long, as can be seen by the oversized leaves! Wishing all our followers a Happy Harvest season.😀👍🥒🍆🥕🫐🥬🧅

It was wonderful to hear everyone share their personal memories during our afternoon of reminiscing. Many recalled their mothers using a flat iron, while others reminisced about the sound of the football rattle clacker used by the home guard as a warning signal. Alongside the enjoyment of the artefacts, the nostalgia these shared stories evoked made the afternoon even more special.😊😊

Hoping for good weather on Friday 1st August for our 'Open Garden Day' between 11 and 4. The forecast is for sunshine and showers but we shall carry on regardless 🌦(unless it's particularly heavy!!)
If you are free, please join us to look around at the gardens including our "miniature garden" feature while enjoying some light refreshments and snacks 😋 😋 🥮 🍥 ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

Our summer garden party, which had a circus theme, was a wonderful afternoon which included interactive games, singing, and dancing 🤡 🤡 🎪 🎪 As well as having lots of fun, we raised £500,00 funds for Age Well East ,an organization doing incredible work in the community. We are especially grateful to them for officially ‘opening’ our miniature garden display, a joint project between local schools and residents
We are looking to hold an ‘Open Garden Day’ on the 1st August between 10.00am and 4.00pm. As well as seeing the miniature and other gardens, there will be plenty of cakes, snacks and light refreshments to enjoy. We look forward to meeting everyone that attends 🙂🙂. This event is weather dependent so please check the forecast before making any plans.

It was lovely to be visited by pupils from Gosbecks Primary School, who helped us to create some beautiful sensory miniature gardens. 🌼 🌸 🌻
Many thanks for all their creativity and enthusiasm, the pupils brought to the design process. As we add the final touches, we plan to donate these gardens to two local churches and a community centre in the next few weeks 🙂🙂

Wonderful to be planting all our summer bedding plants containers 💐 🌸 🏵 🌼. We made a couple of three tier pots which will look stunning when they start to bloom. Have also planted out our bedding plants in the front garden, hanging baskets and fruit and veg area. Watch this space for progress pics!!🙂🙂

What a fantastic VE Day afternoon we had 🇬🇧😁😁 Chris and Sue entertained us with a very interactive celebration. We took part in some interesting quizzes, sang some songs, shared individual memories of VE day and even took part in trying to land gliders on a makeshift airfield aeroplane ✈️ . Most of all we all remembered all those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms today.

What better way to enjoy the lovely summer sunshine than to sit in the gardens. Ice lollies and watermelon 🍉 helped keep everyone cool. As well as chatting about gardening we all took part in playing the 'Higher or Lower' card game which was alot of fun 😁 🌞 ☀️ 🌤

Happy St George's Day to everyone 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 . We celebrated with a delicious afternoon high tea 🎂 🥮 🍵 ☕️ and learnt alot about the legend of St George with an entertaining and informative quiz🙂.

Happy Easter to everyone 🐣 🐰 Chris and Sue spent the afternoon with us giving us a lovely talk about Easter and it's meaning. We then took part in making some stained glass crafts which looked amazing on the windows. Congratulations to Gillian who won the 'Guess the number of Easter Egg' competition 😃.

Thank you so much to the pupils from Stanway Pre School for visiting us 🙂🙂. They spent the morning with us where they sang us some lovely songs and gave us some beautiful pot plants 🪴.

It was a delightful and entertaining afternoon spent with Chris and Sue 🙂🙂. Alongside some creative arts and crafts, Chris shared an insightful talk about humanity, blending scientific concepts with a heartfelt message about each individual's uniqueness. Essentially , we are moe than just chemicals and atoms. We look forward to seeing them again at Easter 🐣 🐰
