🐴
To all my wonderful clients and four-legged friends,
I’ve been a bit quiet lately, and I wanted to be open with you about why.
As many of you know, equine bodywork is a deeply physical and intuitive job that I love. However, I am currently navigating some significant health challenges, including chronic pain and severe anxiety/panic attacks.
Because my work requires me to be 100% physically and mentally "present" for your horses, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to step back from the yard for a while. At this stage, I’m focusing on my recovery and working with doctors to find a path forward.
The Good News: A New Way to Support Your Horses
While I can’t be at the yard in person right now, my passion for equine wellness hasn’t changed. To stay connected, I am currently pouring my energy into creating an Equine Massage for Owners course. (Venue to be confirmed).
My goal is to teach you the gentle, effective techniques I use—from "scanning" for tension to relaxation moves—so you can support your horse’s comfort and suppleness yourself.
How you can help:
If you’d like to be the first to know when the course is complete (and grab an early-bird discount!), please comment "INTERESTED" below or send me a quick DM.
Knowing there is a community waiting for this gives me a huge boost while I navigate this recovery. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for the trust you’ve placed in me over the years.
Warmly,
JADE XX

Having horses when you’re neurodivergent is basically running a a very high budget wellbeing retreat for yourself without realising it. 🐴🧠

You thought you were buying a horse.
What you actually bought was an external hard drive for your nervous system.

• Routine?
People love to say horses thrive on routine.
Mine thrive on ✨vibes✨.
I turn up at wildly inconsistent times like a feral yard goblin and they’re like,
“Ah yes. This version of you again.” ⏰🧌 We LOVE it.

• Executive dysfunction?
You can ignore emails for weeks.
You will not ignore a horse staring at you like you personally ruined their day because you gave them 3 carrots and they know the 4th is in your pocket. 👁️🌾

• Sensory overload?
Phone = too loud.
People = too loud.
Horse chewing hay = perfect.
Brain finally stops buffering. 📵🌾

• Social energy at zero?
Great. Horses do not do small talk. Ideal.
They will stand with you in silence and call it quality time. 🤝

• Hyperfocus?
You only meant to “quickly check” them for the 4th time today.
It’s now dark, you’re covered in mud, and you’ve started a deep emotional audit of saddle pads and long lost bags of miscellaneous items. 🔦🫠

• Emotional regulation?
Horses sense your internal chaos before you’ve even parked the car.
They don’t judge it.
They just quietly refuse to cooperate until you stop spiralling. Iconic behaviour. 👑

• Masking?
Doesn’t work.
Horse sees straight through it like,
“Please stop pretending you’re fine. I can smell the cortisol.” 👃😐

They don’t care if your life is messy.
They don’t care if you’re late.
They don’t care if you haven’t replied to anyone in your WhatsApp for three days.

They care that you show up.
That you’re kind.
That the hay eventually appears. 🌾💛

It’s not structure.
It’s connection.
And somehow that’s exactly what our brains needed all along.

Me, Rioja, Searc and Harley dog would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 🎅🎄

Wondered why Teddy was obsessed with my pocket, I had forgotten I was playing about with essential oils with Searc the day before! Searc didn't want any but safe to say Teddy loved this one! 😆👅🌷🌿

Not the morning off I expected! Tree down, smashed the fence and across both tracks (it was a sycamore 🥳)
Rioja and Searc don't seem too bothered 😊 💣

2 weeks have flown by.
A 🐴 update is well overdue!
We have had a name change, Rodney didnt suit him.
His new name is Searc. In Irish it means Love or Beloved one. It's pronounced Shark which is what his stable name in Malta was!
He's slowly putting on weight and getting stronger in the hind end.
I've done nothing more but let him be a horse. He's on the track at night and in the paddock during the day.
He was a little nervous to begin with but he's really coming out of his shell now ❤️ he's like a little puppy following me everywhere and he's extremely affectionate and huggable!!!💕
He has the dentist coming on Saturday and then I might start introducing him to some bodywork.
😊😊😊
